Overall Satisfaction with Zenefits

We use Zenefits to put to bed the idea that requesting time off should be a long drawn out process that defers employees from getting the time off they need in a timely manner. Our whole team uses this awesome tool.

At my old job we had to submit time off with manual pieces of carbonless copy paper that had to be sent into my manager, HR and God knows who else. This process could take up to two weeks to know if it was approved. I had to schedule doctors appointments out a month in advance!

With Zenefits it's a few simple clicks and the right people have my request. They are able to coordinate with the other approved time off requests in one central hub and then give me the thumbs up or down. After that, my time off appears in my Google Calendar! So cool!

Pros

  • Quick and easy to request time off. It's as easy as opening the app and clicking request time off!
  • Easy way to track sick time. You check how much sick time you have off and make sure you're good to go. Having a central hub for time away from work has made working for my employer an amazing experience.
  • Google Calandar integration is stellar! I love being able to have my approved time off show up in my calandar. It makes life easy.

Cons

  • It would cool to see a fingerprint login for the app. It would make it quicker to access.
  • The team directory is nice, however, it would be nice to see a breakdown of specific departments and not just a running list. That way I could find a team member more quickly. You can search for a specific team member in the search box, however, that doesn't help if you don't know the name of the contact you are trying to locate.
  • Honestly, this app and software are awesome! I'm super appreciative of the ease it creates while managing time off requests.
  • Our employees seem to love Zenefits. I certainly do! It creates a good moral when it's easy to request time off.
  • The streamlined time off requesting is a huge time saver. The long drawn out process that it could be has been put to death!
  • It fits in with our company culture. It allows for flexability in our teams dynamics.
I was not a part of the selection team for Zenefits. We had Zenefits before I onboarded with our team. My experience is based on past work environments where paperwork was required to take time off. It then needed to be approved by multiple managers before being completed. Zenefits has been one of my favorite things about working where I do.

This is well suited to meet the needs of time off requests and logging sick pay. It's streamlined, integrates with calendars, and is easy to use! It does an alright job as a team directory. This product has additional features that our company doesn't use, such as a time clock (our team doesn't use it, as most of us are salaried). The holiday calendar is helpful as well!
