Overall Satisfaction with Zoho Social

Zoho Social is used in our organization in tandem with a more in-depth yet ultimately more expensive CRM software. As key factor in determining the satisfaction and potency of our day-to-day social media marketing, our marketing department tracks the individual platform's engagement rates as well as overall top posts on a month-to-month basis. Through the use of the quick and basic program, we are able to hold our content and those creating it accountable for chances to grow and nurture our audience.
  • Ease of Use. This is a strength in that Zoho Social is a great primer software without the fear of too much of an investment compared to other social media trackers/CRMs.
  • Clear and Concise Infographics. Summarizes the overall message of the analytic reports in a visually crisp graph ready to be added to your next presentation.
  • Post Scheduling Options. Helpful especially in the case of Instagram which usually does not support post scheduling.
  • Window of Time. Allowing only three months of data, it is truly hard to grasp a bigger picture which is ultimately the reason the organization had to purchase a more inclusive media tracker.
  • Lack of Earned Media Tracking. While great for social media tracking on its own, the lack of earned media tracking makes the program feel one-dimensional.
  • Strange bugs. We've experienced situations where the numbers aren't correct, especially in the ways of share counts across Facebook.
3 - Across the entirety of our Marketing Department, our organization uses Zoho Social as a means to track, schedule, and report on the social happenings with our audience. While tracking and scheduling fall under the more day-to-day tasks of small picture utility, reporting which happens on a month-to-month or tri-monthly usually goes to meeting with the Executive Director or Board of Directors in order to show progress and growth.

  • Left a desire to expand. After dealing with the 3-month cutoff for more than half a year, it made itself apparent that we must expand and take on a larger-scale CRM/social media tracker.
It's certainly no surprise that Cision Communications Cloud is a more tactile and overall more impressive tool. As a leading CRM and social media tracker, Zoho Social unfortunately lives in the shadows of most of the operations that Cision Communications Cloud is used for in our organization. That being said, for being less of an financial investment Zoho Social offers a great tool for those looking to get quick and simple data with regards to social media tracking and only that.
If your organization is just getting started with the realm of social media and are looking to have simple and easy numbers to track and analyze, Zoho Social is the program for you. That being said, while the program offers a well-rounded experience for users, if your job specifically relies on tracking of social media in a broader sense including earned media and B2B relations this program falls a bit short. In such a case it's a great program to use in tandem with a paid CRM software so that you can still utilize the intuitive and basic tracking capabilities.
