Overall Satisfaction with Zoom

Zoom is used as our primary web conferencing provider on Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android and Linux endpoints in addition to being used in our conference rooms. Zoom allows us to conduct meetings with our global workforce in a secure and reliable manner that is also intuitive and easy to use. This helps foster collaboration while decreasing travel costs.
  • The Zoom Meetings experience on the iOS and Mobile endpoints are exceptional while also resilient to poor WiFi or LTE connections.
  • With Zoom Meetings our users are able to effectively share streaming video with the audience, which is something we were not able to provide with our previous solution.
  • The monitoring and reporting capabilities of Zoom allow us to be responsive to identifying issues that are present across the endpoints.
  • The Zoom persistent chat capabilities are limited when compared to those in Slack and MS Teams, primarily speaking to the ability to have a threaded conversation and provide multiple emoji type reactions. Both of these are roadmap items that will be available in late 2019 or 2020.
  • The Zoom Meetings web client doesn't appear to be as robust as some of its competitors.

Zoom offers a great all-around meeting experience and coupled with the reliability and usability of the product, it was a no brainer. Cisco and Microsoft both have strong meeting solutions, however, Zoom appears to be innovating at a faster rate. In our company, Zoom is the primary meeting solution while we do augment it with other vendors where there are specific use cases.
Great meetings and webinar experience, however, the Zoom Phone and Rooms capabilities need to mature in order to be considered as the primary solution in those areas. For example, Zoom Phone needs to be available in a broader range of countries for a global organization to adopt it as their primary PSTN/VoIP solution.
