During this COVID-19 pandemic our school district is using Zoom throughout the school district for teachers and students to connect for classroom meetings; including updates, check-ins, Q/A, socializing & personal connections for students and staff, seeing each other during time of isolation, having a story read aloud together as a class, and sharing with jokes.
- Face to face setting.
- Sidebar for Q/A or conversations.
- Ease of login.
- Captioning is not very accessible as someone must be typing during meeting time or use of an outside agency (CART) rather than voice recognition technology to have captioning readily available.
- The platform lacks and needs to have a dedicated box/tile for an ASL interpreter during a live presentation.
- Aids and improves e-Learning access during this unexpected pandemic .
