It allows S2S integration. It's the appropriate choice out of all mobile app tracking software as it is very flexible, shows very accurate data, is easy to learn how to use the dashboards, and offers the option to create tailored audiences. It's not so well structured when it comes to reporting, as its dashboard doesn't allow downloading data in bulk by adding different filters.

Marchex

For a simple set up of call tracking, either for a phone number to track the volume of calls and/or voice recordings to listen to callers and staff, this is a great platform. It has limited functions which make it easy to use, but it might be limiting for businesses that want more flexibility and versatility.

Pros

  • Tracking installs on mobile app campaigns on Android or iOS, as well as UAC campaigns.
  • Tracking in-app actions on our mobile campaigns.
  • Showing more accurate numbers, since it counts pure installs from new users only without counting re-installs,
  • Counts installs only after first opening of the app, while Google and Apple count also downloads even if the app doesn't get installed or opened after.

Cons

  • The reporting dashboard is not very easy to navigate, it doesn't offer enough options.
  • You can't download granular level data for all channels at once. Adding this as an option would save a lot of time when analyzing the performance and doing reporting.

  • It'd be nice if there was a standard voice recording disclaimer, instead of us uploading our own
  • Is there an option to email the new voicemails to an email, I haven't figured out on how to set up that option
  • There's been times where the calls are delayed, maybe the software is a little slow?

We renew Marchex each year, we love it! It's a great investment. It's woven into a few of our products that we offer our clients so we wouldn't stop using it any time soon. The clients are big fans of it

Alternatives Considered

Kochava is the most popular one and has a better dashboard, offering many options for visualizing data. Adjust has a poor dashboard in comparison to Kochava, but offers easier integration with SDK and is cheaper. I don't think adjust shares device IDs, though. Its attribution is very accurate and offers very good solutions for fraud prevention

  • It had positive impact because it allows tracking data without sharing it with Google
  • It's easy to integrate with all channels and many platforms, such as AdWords, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • By creating audiences, we've targeted most valuable users to the business

  • It has led to better customer service now that employees know they are being recorded. Calls are being answered quicker, there is less wait time, and there are 50% more leads generated because of this.
  • Now that clients can see exactly how many calls they are getting and from where, it has given our company a greater ROI as we are now more transparent and credible than ever.
