[Well suited for] when you want to fill in the gaps in your Google Search traffic. Bing is typically the second biggest search platform and has loyal users who should always be considered when creating a marketing campaign. I would not use Bing as my sole SEM marketing strategy though, as bypassing Google in favor of Bing would be foolish.

  • Bing Ads is good for buying incremental traffic on top of your existing AdWords campaigns. You can import your campaign from AdWords very easily using a Bing Ads import tool.
  • Bing Ads is good for competitive markets where the avg. Cost-Per-Click (CPC) on AdWords is outside of the range you're willing to pay. Bing Ads CPCs are often significantly lower than AdWords.
  • Bing Ads allows you to simultaneously place your search ads on Bing and Yahoo at the same time.

It has performed well above our expectations and has given us the time we'd be better off spending on building new strategies and customer development, over manual PPC campaign management. The ROI far exceeds what we could have promised on our own with many clients and we wouldn't want to give up that kind of almost guaranteed ROI for our clients.

It definitely takes some instruction to get to be able to use the system. One would struggle trying to get it to work without any previous experience with it. If you are famailiar with the interface it is actually quite fast and easy to maneuver around.

They were able to screen share and resolve my issue. On a later issue, they were able to solve my access problem. I have never left a chat support session without resolving my issue. They have always been nice, knowledgable, and courteous. We do not have a dedicated support team like we have Google reps.

I think it's a good way to automate and take more control during the digital advertising process.You can have access to a lot of data, spreadsheets and statistics, but that is difficult to manage at the beginning.

Bing has a smaller search audience, overall, than Google - but more than Yahoo Gemini. Bing Ads is one of the three major search platforms, though, and to exclude it from campaigns is to eliminate ~10% of the potential audience for a service or product. Its editing and keyword interface is similar to Google AdWords (familiarity with one will allow the other to be intuitively sued). It also offers the same comprehensive, granular data exports as expected on any search / advertising platform: upper funnel metrics, daily/weekly/monthly granularity, etc.

  • I have only really seen a positive impact on ROI, with smaller amount of spend and better conversion rates, Bing tends to deliver good performance
  • Due to having a lower search volumes, fluctuations do occur and thus, if you have bad day or week, this can affect your overall numbers negatively.
