For a small employer, with very little turnover and few benefit options, ADP may be too costly for the benefit. There are many affordable payroll providers available for small organizations.For large employers with many benefits options, employees in multiple locations, multiple tax jurisdictions and varied pay types (salary, hourly, commission, etc), ADP is ideal. The extended customer service hours, extensive resources for international pay, and capability for multi state taxation is crucial for an international employer.

Culture Amp

Great partner for administering our annual engagement survey. You can set up automated reminders for users who have not filled out the survey over a period of time. They also offer a lot of benchmark data and resources to really understand what your organization's results mean and how to go about picking the most critical pieces of information that need attention and can have the greatest impact on the organization. If you choose not to use their survey templates or add your own questions to a survey, you may not be able to get any external benchmark data, as it all depends on how relevant your own questions are to the questions used by others in their shared templates.

Pros

  • Benefits enrollment - saves so much time by having the benefits enrollment online. The benefits cost flow directly to payroll so there is no [chance] for error by entering an incorrect amount. Carrier connections flow the info to our insurance company - no paper forms
  • Keeps us informed on any changes involving ACA, taxes or other federal regulations. Subscribe to Eye on Washington and you are always up to date on current happenings in Washington.
  • Ability to handle all of our state and local taxes. We have 9 states and many locals.

  • The platform for Culture Amp is very user-friendly. It is easy to navigate when answering the survey questions.
  • Culture Amp gives the ability to compare your business to other benchmarks from outside sources.
  • Culture Amp can cut data in many different ways based on criteria like department, gender, tenure etc.
  • Culture Amp guarantees anonymity of its users because it will not cut data a certain way if there are less than 5 people in that category. Ex if there are less than 5 females, you cannot cut the data by gender.

  • It would be great if more fields were available in the mass change feature. I end up importing data changes when a mass change would have been easier if the option was available.

  • It would be interesting if users could see comments from others on a platform and that admin could give answers to comments and other people could rate the comments so that admin would see if certain feelings were mutual or if just the outliers make comments.
  • As a user (not an admin) I would like a platform to log-into so I could see my ratings overtime, especially since we often survey on the same questions. It would be nice to see if things were improving in my mind or not.

We are happy with ADP Workforce Now. Set up is rather simple and will accommodate almost any/every need for your business in the areas of HR, Payroll., & Compliance. Support can be inconsistent but every process has an online manual with step by step instructions that make troubleshooting much easier. We rarely need to call support. Payroll tax is and tax filing are second to none and processing/importing is rather simple.

The instructions from the recruiting agency on how to use the system was pretty straightforward. It provided step-by-step procedures on where you would need to log in your hours as well as what you would need to highlight (i.e. regular, overtime, etc.) detailing the type of hours that were worked overall. The handout also provided some pictures of the application

Either assign more than one specialist to the implementation process, or assign less clients to the implementation specialist. The process requires attention to detail and the ability to test and re-test as well as verify the information. It also requires a lot of back and forth between the client ant the implementation specialist, so they need to be readily available during the whole implementation process.

  • We are consultants for companies that have chosen WFN so ROI is not relevant for us but I believe it is good return if implemented properly

  • We use culture amp to measure engagement levels surrounding certain "standard" questions we ask on a recurring basis. this gives us a viable way to measure how we are doing overall in certain areas that are important to us.
  • The Diversity survey helped us pinpoint some areas were we could work on improving. This came out in comments from several users.
  • We have to keep in mind that comments are important, but sometimes it is just one person who is upset about one thing that does not affect anyone else. We must keep that in mind and set those aside. It is easy to get caught up in some of those comments.
