For me, Insightly works for the Basic price point subscription (lucky to have been on this subscription level before they closed it to new customers). Also, like the Gmail interface and the ability to manage both sales and projects.

Insightly is more comprehensive than the others except for maybe for Vtiger. Price/quality relation is better in Insightly. The learning curve is lower with Insightly.

I use a combination of both. Base CRM is good for logging calls as it integrates with calls on your phone. After placing a call to a contact, it brings up a screen asking you to make a note of call content and outcome. Insightly would be even better if it did this.

Insightly is very well suited to track steps in a particular process. It is also very easy to connect contacts, organizations, requests, and projects. It is great for storing data in a way that is easily referenced. It is a helpful tool for facilitating team collaboration. The connectivity to our website forms is also very useful. It is less appropriate for tracking financials as far as invoicing and payments.

Zendesk sell is best for organizations that want a clean and simple, yet powerfully effective CRM tool. It's intuitive, extremely user-friendly, supplies lots of video tutorials and access to the California team for FAQ's, and has all the features other, more complicated, expensive CRM's have. Great for institutions that have a need to tailor their database to fit your needs; and track sales, tasks, and pipeline projects in graphic form. It's affordable and has a great app for mobile phones that allows access to contacts, notes, tasks, and a workable platform while on the go in real time. It's simple to teach new users how to navigate and utilize. Adding or deleting users is simple, and access to the CRM information can be limited/private or made public for the entire team to access. Not as costly as some of the competing products, so if you are on a tight budget this may be the tool for you.

  • My favorite piece is the Tasks connected to the Clients OR the Deals themselves that keep the process moving with the right steps, and helps our team from doubling our work, or missing a piece that is crucial for the completion of the sale.
  • The email integration helps to keep all things housed in one place also, so that you're not bouncing back and forth in multiple platforms to stay on top of the orders.
  • Customizations are a HUGE part of why we use Base CRM right now. We can make sure we are recording all of the right information, and not wasting time by having to fill in or skip over content that doesn't apply to our business model.
  • I also like the ability to tied Deals to multiple people, especially as Referrals come across, so we don't forget how we got in touch with different clients.

  • There are some minor glitches such as the screen freezing up. You can fix this by refreshing the page and it doesn't happen often but when it does, it does disrupt the flow.
  • Pulling a report from multiple objects is limited. You have a lot of options but there are some things you want to be able to pull in together and you can't.
  • Items such as Contacts and Organizations don't always link together.

Insightly offers a great product; it's the right fit for our company at this time. We were, however, considering moving to Contactually due to their cost effective automation features. However, they lacked the project management capabilities of Insightly. As our company grows, we would love to stay with Insightly - and if they can nail the automation and add the ability to customize a little bit more, it would be the perfect solution for us. For a larger company with a more involved sales team, you might find the metrics/reporting to be a bit basic. Insightly offers great customer service even to free customers

The reports are easy to customize and generate within seconds. The pipeline clearly shows what is going on with the order, so we don't have to waste time frequently checking in. The database helps us quickly look up a healthcare provider's NPI so we can add it to the order and verify eligibility for insurance.

I received about two hours worth of training on Zendesk Sell (formerly Base CRM). I will say it's a clean look and the ability to change views is extremely helpful. I do wish there were other features that allowed the views to be more simplistic. Some views can be overwhelming to look at. Nevertheless with the minimum training, I am still able to navigate through Zendesk Sell (formerly Base CRM) successfully due to the ease of usability.

Knock on wood... I haven't had any difficulties with Insightly's availability to-date. I mostly use it on my desktop and infrequently access via my Android phone. No access issues.

The interface is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Reports can quickly be made, including custom fields.The website response has always been quick to load and has never been unavailable when I have needed access. They listen to requests for additional or custom features, and they hold workshops frequently to assist new and experienced users.

Due to the ease of the product, I have not had the chance to reach out to support yet. I’ve had no reason. The resources provided to clients are extremely helpful and detailed. So far my questions have been pretty basic and I generally just ask my colleague or teammate. They're able to assist with the answer.

This product has a great backing of users, but needs more options direct from Base CRM on all operations of the software. YouTube videos do a great job of helping implement, and the back end support is a great help as well. The CRM is a great free option, and should be treated as such.

Insightly has far more modern applications than GoldMine. It allows for more customizations. Our reports are nicer looking and it seems much more user friendly. Insightly also seems to be more than just sales focused. GoldMine seemed to really be geared more towards a sales staff. Insightly has more capabilities for our future needs as well

Simpler than most CRMs, which can be good if your sales team is not very tech savvy. We switched to HubSpot which provides a lot more value than Base did, but it isn't right for everyone. HubSpot is focused on capturing in-bound leads and has its own flaws and limitations, but overall it's a better fit for our needs.

(+) Being able to download my LinkedIn connections was a huge benefit. (+) I use the task function to stay on top of my follow-up activity which is another positive feature. (+) The sorting capabilities also help me pinpoint the contacts that I need to stay on top of. (-) When I add a new lead from an existing organization, I would like the organization's information to automatically populate the fields like address, website, description. I enter all that information manually. (-) My mass mailing experience has been tedious due to the email function being interrupted and crashing due to bad email addresses in some of my records. (-) Many of my leads do not have current email addresses. I wish Insightly offered a tool to help find email addresses. I spend too much time researching to find email addresses.
