CIQ is better in every way than Excel! CIQ logic is very similar to formulas in Excel, so it's an easy transition to the tool. Once the logic is built, it is simply a click of a button to process the payouts, saving hours and hours of manual work.
We've completely phased out two of the comp plans from CaptivateIQ to Excel. Excel is a lot more flexible for any changes that occur throughout the year. The one downside is that it does not offer as much automation that CIQ does, since CIQ is synced to salesforce directly.
