Overall Satisfaction with CaptivateIQ
I use CaptivateIQ to manage commission payouts from plan signature thru monthly payout processing. We were previously using spreadsheets to manage commission plans which resulted in additional time for each payout to calculate, verify and then PDF and send each tab to each plan participant. It was also challenging from an audit perspective to demonstrate confidence in the data. With Captivate, we can now create plans, process payouts, and track approvals in a system that has an audit trail.
- Plan Management.
- Complex Calculations combining Data Sets.
- Approval Tracking.
- What If Scenario for Reps.
- Reporting is challenging. Even exporting payouts requires selecting a date, so if I want a full year of payouts for the entire team, I have to run 12 reports and combine the data. They have a reporting function, but it also requires a significant setup, and I have yet to figure out how to combine data from all of our plans with different columns.
- Tracking down changes from prior periods can be tricky. This usually happens due to user error (whoops - admin set up something not quite right), but it might be nice to easily see what changed or why there is an increase or decrease from a prior period impacting the current payout.
- Simplified comp plans overall; after implementing CapIQ, I was able to demonstrate to Leadership that our plans were far too complex, resulting in simplification the next time plans were created.
- Fast payout processing. Before CapIQ payout processing was manual in spreadsheets and took significantly more time than now, I quickly validated the data by comparing it to a saved report in Salesforce and then send the payouts for approval.
- Reps can easily see their payout information and create what-if scenarios to see where they might end up if they close a deal.
