Overall Satisfaction with CaptivateIQ
Captivate IQ is our new streamlined software to have an easy overview or in-depth view of commissions paid out to our sales force. Prior to this, we had all our employees "Hand-calculate" commissions which were subject to human error, and at times took quite a bit of time (was painstaking). In addition, we would have to jump to different parts of our CRM to get everything. While we do still "double-check" Captivate IQ, we now primarily rely on it
. So far it has been 100% accurate for what I look at.
It's very nice as we can directly have it updated by our commissions department, so it can observe in-house special incentive programs, and degrading payouts, and it organizes it into one easy to view website. The ability to make inquiries/argue a particular transaction has been very helpful, as before this email or direct calls used to flood our commissions' team every month.

- Stores YTD Comissions
- Calculates current, and future commissions (prediction based)
- Able to integrate with our inhouse tech
- Fast and lightweight
- Easy to interpret
- It could use some improvement on putting the data into pie charts that are exportable
- A little more interaction from the sales person such as advanced inquiries would be helpful
- Annotating loads with comments that can be flagged are very needed.
- We have spent considerably less time on commissions, on average brokers and sales people spend an hour less per month looking at numbers from what i've heard
- Our commissions have paid out faster due to new free time found at our dept due to menial requests handled by CIQ
- Sales people bother director of sales about 50% as much due to payout questions.
Captivate offers much more than Salesforce does on a much lighter platform at a significantly lower cost. We also see a possibly higher level of customization and better customer service in our interactions with Captivate IQ compared to Sales Force's arm of staff. Both are great companies, but we will be sticking with CIQ for the future, we see it as much more agile.
