Webex Meetings is more focused on organizations and users with needs above the average: HD video and audio, possibility of participating from any device, by desktop, mobile, video conference equipment or browser, share screen, documents or record and edit meetings , among other features, all safely and up to 1000 participants in each meeting. If a more basic collaborative solution is required, the advice is to use another provider.

CIC is best suited for business models that rely on heavily leverage Data Integration especially one like ours that require real-time and high-speed data access for billing and customer integration.CIC is not well suited for small organizations < 50 where they are only answering phones in the course of doing business VS. the business is the phone.

  • Purely Software Based System: On Microsoft OS. It is an all software-based system making it easy to manage, integrate and interface with other systems
  • One Vendor: All modules, IVR, ACD, Dialer, WFM are from one vendor. So, no compatibility and latency issues at all.
  • Superb Notifier Service: You don't have to restart any process or service for a change to take effect.

Cisco Webex Meetings is a really easy-to-use solution. Cisco has a mentality linked to joining meetings: one button to push. There is always the same big green button that appears everywhere—on invitation emails, in the calendar, on videoconferencing devices, on the application in our phones and tablets. One button and the meeting is started. Anyone can start a meeting.The solution is therefore minimally demanding for IT teams, and even easy to set up and support for smaller environments where there simply isn't an IT team.

PureConnect is well suited for organizations who don't want to deploy dozens of servers for a call center. It is very appropriate if you want to be full IP : from the career connexion (SIP trunk) to the phone set. It is less appropriate if your organization is divided into many small teams and you have to manage hundreds of different teams.

Has always been very reliable with only a couple of issues in the past year. Video and audio quality is always very good, however the platform does struggle with many people on video and audio (could also have something to do with computer bandwidth). We had over 50 people on a video call and found the platform to crash repeatedly, however for something like this I would recommend leveraging Webex events

The application itself uses a hub and spoke model that can help isolate errors in one section of the application from the rest, creating a much more stable overall program. Of all of the outages that we've had with our contact center platform, I can count on one hand how often it was truly a Genesys issue rather than a network issue, server issue or issue with a platform relied upon for an integration (web services, db calls).

Overall performance of loading the application is fast. On occasions, the meeting can take time to load in the browser version. The app usually loads faster both on desktop and mobile. Integration with MS Outlook is available. While I have not noticed [...] reduced performance within Cisco Webex Meetings because of this integration, I have seen delays in MS Outlook when adding the meeting link to calendars

Some of the client applications take a bit of time on initial load, but with the move towards web based applications that issue is alleviated. You can tell that effort really isn't putting into the desktop apps any longer and that the client development effort is being put into bringing Interaction Connect closer to feature parity with the desktop (and bringing wholly new features to Connect).As far as IVR operations, web service calls, database operations: they all operate reasonably.

The response time is very fast via email. Most of the time, they also follow-up with a call but I usually need my questions answered via email.I think their support emails are bit bland and impersonal. They may think it's a good idea to list all applicable managers in their emails but that's not really all the important to me. In fact seeing so many people listed makes me wonder if I'd have to contact someone else to get my question answered or problem resolved.

Some cases are resolved quickly others are taking longer and the reseller sometimes has to chase support several times and explain the issue seen several times. While being a direct customer before, I recognise this and it seems that when a case moves to another engineer they don’t read the previous case notes or don’t understand what has been done. This, from a customers perspective, slows down resolution times.

I liked the setup of the whole class. The instructor knew the topic well enough to answer questions from entry level to a more advanced one.
Instructor encouraged participation of the whole class and was able to engage every one. Also provided "real live" examples so everyone can relate to it.

The online training itself is good. You are provided resources and can self study to a certain point, but the pacing always felt off. Either snails pace or like trying to drink from a fire hose. I think this easily could have had to do with course material and my personal preparations, though. I would say my main gripe is that since the acquisition the team responsible for actually booking training is very unresponsive and often not knowledgeable about the courses they offer. Booking my last training was a real chore.

That we needed complex implementation that we didn't get tells me 2 things: 1) the product was not designed in a way that "just worked" like some of its peers (Zoom / BlueJeans) and 2) had our company defined actual user needs and validated / verified that they had bought something that matched those, we would have pursued features / designs more closely aligned with what the product actually does: screen share, sometimes video, definitely VOIP audio (always an option regardless of license), and easy recording and retrieval of meetings.

Don't try to go the perfect solution as a first target. Work on answer the more needs with a simple solution. Then analyse and try again to answer the most needs with adding a bit if complexity only if require. No needs to customise straight from the beginning or deployment takes too long.

I find Cisco Webex Meetings to be the easiest to use from the following standpoints:- Google Hangouts can have firewall issues for my customers; Cisco Webex Meetings doesn't- Our company finds it hard at times to take presenter rights in Teams, and we often need to present- Skype can be difficult to log into; Cisco Webex Meetings isn't- Some of my accounts weren't allowed by their internal IT teams to use Zoom when Zoom had security issues; Cisco Webex Meetings was always considered an acceptable option

Call Manager, you had to buy all the components that are out of the box for PureConnect. The licensing model is more expensive on the Cisco side vs the Genesys PureConnect side. Lastly was on the Cisco side since you have to connect/integrate all the components on the cisco side you have to have so many vendors to install those parts. This drives the cost up even more so it was not worth going that route for our organization.
