Filevine is a project management and workflow automation platform for law firms from the company of the same name in Utah.
It is a great system that provides convenience, saves time, and increases productivity. For you as a legal professional: You become more productive because the platform integrates cases and forms with only a few clicks, transmitting data automatically through the interface. Even further, it is valid to mention how easy it becomes to review the forms before filing a case with immigration. For your clients: it is convenient because they can answer their questionnaires in their native language at their most convenient time and upload documents to the platform without meeting you. This also increases the legal team's productivity.
Filevine is well suited if you want to have a practice management program that is not Clio and that is difficult to use, lacks essential features, and is overpromised. It is not suitable for heavy litigation. What kind of legal practice system refers to the core elements as "projects"? Not matters or cases?
The drop downs are finicky. If I am not perfectly hovered over an option the entire drop down disappears and I have to do it again.
A search feature within the client files would be amazing. Rather than scrolling for a specific conversation, I would like to be able to type in keywords and it pull up. But only in that one clients file.
More app compatibility. It would be nice if I could call/text/email directly from Filevine. But not all of my apps are compatible.
Texting and Faxing fail consistently. I don't know that I have ever been able to successfully send a text from Filevine.
I dock a few points because of the setup it requires. If someone in-house can handle that then the score goes up. It really depends on the firm and their personnel. Once it is setup though, I think anyone can get in and do what they need to do
Price - for the features we have, eIMMIGRATION is a more accessible CMS compared to the three other options. Customer Service - they are always reachable and knowledgeable. Lastly, the customized option makes it the tool that we depend on the most. Its reliability is essential in the Legal Services realm.
Filevine is much easier to learn and use, the user interface is more appealing (with bigger fonts and easy-to-understand icons), and its customization feature is easier to use and understand.
