Chose Hootsuite
Ultimately, we selected Hootsuite for the benefits-to-cost ratio it had. Sprout Social has an incredibly robust platform with great social listening, a nice scheduling calendar, and a lot of metrics you can view, plus team post creation and approval flows. It's an impressive …
Chose Hootsuite
HubSpot and SocialPilot suck they're not that easy to use. Later does stack up against Hootsuite with features already mentioned. They also have more color and branding on their website and I know that's a small thing but I'm surprised Hootsuite is all white.
Chose Hootsuite
Overall, Hootsuite is very similar to Sprout Social. some of the analytics are a little different, but the posting process is similar. Sprout does have a social listening too, but i can't remember how it compares to Hootsuite.

Compared to Hubspot, Hubspot is a all in one …
Chose Hootsuite
Hootsuite's free account was sufficient for use on behalf of our client. When they restructured their pricing model and eliminated free and affordable subscriptions suitable for a small business, we found that Zoho Social was an excellent replacement. The interface was simpler …
Chose Hootsuite
Hootsuite’s free service is most useful to me at this time as social media management does not have a large budget within my business. However, they are no longer offering it at this time which has led me to go to another service. Over the years, Hootsuite has been taking away …
Chose Hootsuite
I think it is on par with most of the ones I have used but I think there are better ones for agency specific needs in terms of pricing models. Great for in-house and so easy to use!
Chose Hootsuite
Hootsuite is a bit less busy and easier to use, they also offer a lot of learning resources and tools. I like the simple interface in comparison to others.
Chose Hootsuite
Honestly, it's been years since I used anything but Hootsuite. About five years ago, I did a bit of a vendor analysis and concluded that for my needs (which are primarily high-volume, high number of social media accounts), Hootsuite is the most cost-efficient option. However, …
Chose Hootsuite
I only use the free versions. I have found it to be the best in this free area. I appreciate the ability to use it right away without having to commit to major marketing uploads, or info needed at the start.
Chose Hootsuite
Hootsuite is easy to use, but if you need a comprehensive marketing/CRM platform, I would use Hubspot. I hear Hootsuite is cheaper, but it doesn't have what most marketing depts need for ads, content, social, and reporting in my view.
Chose Hootsuite
I don't remember the name now but there was another tool I used when I first started and it was messing up all of my posts. I would find links to one post were showing up on another and the images were swapped as well. Once this started happening, I immediately stopped using …

Hootsuite and HubSpot are similar in that you can update and monitor all of your social media sites in one place. However, you can't do nearly as much with Hootsuite as you can with Hubspot. With HubSpot, you're also able to monitor your analytics and see which posts are …

While Mailchimp and Hootsuite themselves offer a nice set of features (let's leave Mailchimp's merely non-existent end-user support alone) having them all and even more under one hood is really really cool. And that's what HubSpot offers altogether. HubSpot's user-friendly …

Chose HubSpot Marketing Hub
It's nice to have all of my things in one place. I don't have to go to different websites or systems to get my blog, analytics, social publishing, CRM, etc. Salesforce was a powerful tool, but we couldn't customize the system to our needs. We can with Hubspot and track out …

Chose HubSpot Marketing Hub
HubSpot is way better than HootSuite in the fact that scheduling social media has become so much easier for me. I like the fact that if I schedule a photo for a social post, my readers don't get redirected to an owl.y page. This saves me time in that I don't have to (usually) …

HubSpot
As I said previously, I was not a fan at the beginning because, like everyone, I don't take change so well. Once I started following leads through HubSpot Marketing Hub, I integrated it with my email and created templates for what I needed, I started to see the positives immediately. My time working was better spent as I eliminated time put in routine tasks. I was able to track all communication in HubSpot Marketing Hub, we created systems in the office assigning tasks to one another and, through HubSpot Marketing Hub, our leads were able to book meetings in my calendar automatically. To be honest, if you are in sales and marketing, I cannot think of scenarios where HubSpot Marketing Hub cannot help. All I would like to say is, when using templates, pay attention to where you send them - you may need some personalization. I would encourage the management of HubSpot Marketing Hub to create short tutorials for beginners like me who need to configure and start using various features: setting up deals, templates, and dashboards.

Pros
Hootsuite
  • Scheduling of content. The ease of use for Hootsuite's planner abilities is top of the industry. It is simple and effective in posting content to different channels and accounts.
  • Analytics are superior on Hootsuite. Their custom reports allow you to view very specific KPI's that you can adjust for each channel or account. The reports are also exportable to be used for others in the company.
  • Inbox management. The inbox manager is superior to any in the industry. Hootsuite allows you to tag certain phrases or keywords to better filter messages based on importance or topic.

  • All-in-one software - the main thing HubSpot does well is the breadth of functionality.
  • Easy of use - personally, I find it more intuitive than Marketo, which is the other MAP that I know well.
  • Ads - I like that we can drill down on ads by channel, ad group, campaign, and even create and see performance data at each level.

Cons
Hootsuite
  • One thing that's frustrating is when trying to change the date/time and having to go into each individual post to update it is a lot. With other calendar tools, you are able to drag and drop the post in the time you want it OR there is a pop up that allows you to change the date/time without having to go into editing the actual post.
  • It would be nice to have different calendar tabs for different brands. Instead of seeing all the brands scheduled posts on one calendar.
  • There needs to be a content library to house all the creative files so it's easier to choose and upload.

  • While Hubspot has added some collaborative tools, I think this could improve. I'd like to see more options to comment on emails and ways of being able to share out changes as well as approval channels.
  • The ability to update ads via the calendar is pretty cumbersome. There's no good way to bulk edit or update. You have go into each one individually.
  • Real time edits would be nice. If you have multiple people working on the same thing, you'll get kicked out and your changes might not be saved.

At this time we are satisfied that Hootsuite offers the most of what we are looking for at the most reasonable price point. As the social media landscape and monitoring/scheduling software changes, so do our needs. We re-evaluate our tools semi-annually or as new tools emerge onto the market. If we find at any point that we aren't gaining an advantage, then we are open to switching products.

Our business relies on the HubSpot platform to manage our marketing, sales and CRM processes. The overall usability is awesome, the scheduling, reporting, etc. The spellcheck and feature that used to be a part of it was awesome and we are sad to see that it was taken away. Hootsuite makes passing on articles from the web very easy- when it works! I have had a number of gliches with Chrome where it does not open properly and the solution (after some toing and froing with support) was to uninstall and reinstall. • Combination of vendor and internal. The vendor bumped up our account to the Enterprise version (quite simple and easy) and then set up our organization and team structure. We then had to log in and set up team members and assign members to social media accounts. This was pretty easy to do as they have a great user interface. We simply had to drag and drop people into the correct team giving them access to specific social media accounts.
