RingEX
Chose RingEX
RingEX won out because of the comprehensive Messenging service that was included with RC. Especially the ability to send MMS made the difference to us because we could replace Cell phone numbers with actual all-in-one Work phone numbers, thus allowing us to maintain continuity …
Chose RingEX
Feature to Feature they stack up. Support and Service is a whole other animal.
Chose RingEX
It had all what we wanted in a caller. The prices were reasonable and the service had been more or less at par. Never had a major issue with them and the call drops which we had couple of times were rectified within minutes so kudos to their support team.
Chose RingEX
RingEX provided the best call quality and had the features we needed. Google Voice doesn't have Hawaii (808) numbers, so they weren't a good fit for our business. That may change with their recent overhaul of that service offering. Grasshopper was terrible. Easy to set up, …
Chose RingEX
I think their desktop client is much more reliable. I wasn't too happy with 8x8 as it used Adobe Air and constantly asked me to update Adobe Air when I opened the program. Very annoying. I had to update Adobe Air and 8x8 as well. If I tried to update the client it would …
Chose RingEX
RingEX 's management tools are all out of one system instead of multiple. The features offered in their lower lever "tiers" are ones that other providers only offer in their "premium" packages. Most providers have built on new features and management consoles as separate …
Zoom Workplace
Chose Zoom Workplace
Zoom Workplace is a one-stop shop for conferencing and phone needs--and with Zoom being a global name in the industry, there is no bounds to its reach and compatibility. Simply put, it just works, and Zoom's plan offerings are a steal in comparison to purchasing separate …
Chose Zoom Workplace
We left RingCentral a few years ago and transitioned to Zoom Workplace. We selected Zoom Workplace because RingCentral had a lot of billing issues (would upcharge a lot) but the service wasn't great either. Calls were constantly being dropped or we couldn't find chats and would …
Chose Zoom Workplace
I like Zoom over Join.me because of the Google Calendar integration that it has. The screen sharing also goes both ways between the meeting host and attendee. I like that a lot. We also use Highfive, as it allows for us to share the meetings to our in office TVs.
Chose Zoom Workplace
Zoom performs consistently: my team and I don't have to worry about it failing. While the audio can be better, it's not any worse than GoToMeeting (it's better actually) or Skype for Business. It integrates well with our apps (Outlook) and the iOS app performs very nicely. The …
Chose Zoom Workplace
Both pale in comparison to Zoom. Hangouts can barely be considered a solution, and RingCentral was so buggy to use. Both have very clunk interfaces that end users found hard to navigate.
Chose Zoom Workplace
Zoom has blown our previous Voice & Meeting vendors away in cost, quality, and consistency. The cost was a major factor that allowed us to take a risk on a newer service, but the quality of the voice and video across all zoom products paired with the outstanding communication …
Chose Zoom Workplace
Zoom was created by the same team that created GoToMeetings, but GoToMeeting now belongs to Cisco and prices are very high. Zoom has the same features and even better quality than GoToMeetings, but prices are much more affordable. RingCentral Meetings doesn't have such good …
Chose Zoom Workplace
We used to utilize RingCentral for our phone and online meeting services. The quality wasn't always great and there were connection issues that became problematic for both our employees and our clients. Since changing over to Zoom, the connection has always been consistent …

It's definitely worth considering Jive for the type of application we've developed i.e. a central shared repository for all employees to host and discuss information. I can't say I have ever used a superior tool, but they may exist. I'm just not sure I would want to use it exclusively for file hosting, though. It does integrate with various other tools, so perhaps it would be fine if used in conjunction with another tool for that purpose.

RingCentral
RingCentral is generally good for business calls, as its mobile features, combined with landline office options, are great for communication on the go. It is also an affordable option to have a mobile cellular device if you have a lot of staff. Setup especially for multilevel authorization can be a hassle but it works well if well set up, you would have to get help in rectifying this if not calls might be redirected to the wrong extensions and changing it is not very straight forward.

  • Chat and Messaging - Conversations are easy to search, topics can be pinned or bookmarked, and groups are easy to create and administer.
  • Phone - The core functionality works very well allowing voice, txt/sms, and faxing for all users. Administration is generally fairly easy as well.
  • Mobile Client - the mobile app offers all of the same functionality as the desktop or web client.
  • Video - Video calls make it easy to share screens with other users and includes a lot of tools for planning.

  • Audio quality of phone calls is spot on. Calls are clear and crisp.
  • Video quality of video meetings are clear and there aren't any pixelization artifacts that some systems can have.
  • Having AI summaries have been life changing for us. We no longer have to concentrate on note taking, like we did in the past. The summaries are accurate and enable us to put our efforts in the meeting or conversation. Plus, we can save them into our practice management system as required.

There are always external factors that can impact this decision but currently, the Jive platform is maintaining its lead in the market place in this area. If the innovation in this space by Jive continues, then this number will remain high. Integration with other systems and adaptability to changes in the market or in client needs will also make this decision hard to predict more then 6 months into the future

RingEx is reliable I have not had any issues as of yet. I use both plants we have, and the service is fair to good. The service as a whole is solid and a great method to get in contact with anyone. Zoom has among the best performance of any video conference platform, as I've mentioned several times. Besides that, their Chat platform works great, and their back end always runs smooth. It's unfortunate that reporting can now only be done by one month at a time, but nonetheless, it only takes a second to run any kind of Zoom report, whether it's an attendee report, Poll results, a user report, a list of meetings from the past month, etc.

Call-in support is fantastic. I have never called in and had it taken more than 30 minutes to resolve our issue. Email support is terrible. You will likely go 24+ hours until you hear back and the response is likely a canned one. I personally prefer the email or chat support option, but find myself calling instead because the email support experience is so poor.

Because I got a response right away, and was assigned one specific individual to work with me from the beginning to the resolution. I had an actual email address and direct contact with this person without having to start over and over every time I contacted Zoom - this singular individual remained attentive and was well informed on the subject matter and quite able to resolve my needs.

If someone has an existing system I tell them to keep that running initially and keep RingEX separate initially until the system is configured and tested to one's satisfaction. After testing and configuration is completed, then roll over the main phone numbers to the new RingEX system. I've seen one person who immediately flipped over to RingEX without properly configuring/testing the software and had many issues with missed customer calls until I helped him sort out his configuration.

Teams do not stack up to Zoom at all. My clients use Teamas because it is a corporate policy, and they use it most of the time between employees of the same company. It makes sense for this, NOT for me. Every time a Teams meeting is launched, since I am not part of this company, the meeting is laborious, the interface is not as nice as Zoom's, sharing documents is more difficult, etc., etc. Zoom is superior to Teams in every way!!!

Because the Basic licenses are completely free, and because it's very easy to configure and install Zoom, and because anyone can join Zoom from a link without needing an account, scaling is a Breeze. • reduce email traffic
  • reduce amount of files/documents scattered & lost across shared drives
  • increased discovery, awareness and interaction of historically more separated individuals & team functions across the organisation
  • from an IT perspective, we've benefited from improved IT operations (e.g. troubleshooting info shared and easily searched/found with all team members - such that even junior team members can solve technical problems outside of business hours, lessening the burden for standby/call-in for more senior team members)

  • Enhanced patient accountability, we can track all calls - incoming and outgoing - patients tend to state that they called and left a message, but they either never called or did not leave a message. With RingEX, we can track whether they really did. It saves us quite a bit of time and aggravation.
  • Faxing is more accurate and usually very quick. Because it's accurate, it saves us time with phone calls about faxes we never received and having to refax items. Also, faxing via the system instead of printing and scanning is a time-saver.
