The main place me and my team like to use it is for project management. It is a great place to list out all of the steps (and sub-steps! That is an option too) of a project. You can add deeper instructions within the "updates" section of each item and share related files within them too. Once you have the entire project fleshed out, you can assign steps to team members, set due dates, and track completion. I also use monday.com for tracking social media weekly stats. I have set up fields to link to social posts, give the metrics on each one, tag what topics they are about, note the medium, and more. This makes it easy to see what genres are performing well. It is a clean and organized space for me to store data and pull it for my quarterly report. Plus, team members can pop in and see at a glance how our social media profiles are doing.

Traffic is suitable for most agencies, regardless of size. You don't need to use all of the features in order to get good results. And it can be linked to Maconomy which is useful for larger agencies. We have around 80 employees and it works great.

  • The dashboard gives us an instant view of new assignments or changes in existing ones.
  • The ability to move items from Requests to Queue to In-Progress so everyone can see what we're working on is valuable.
  • Asking questions, providing status reports, and making requests are so simple with the Update function.

  • The time sheet area is really good - it's easy to drag and drop and fill in time sheets with allocated tasks quickly, which makes it more likely that people will actually do it!
  • It's invaluable to be able to see the time spent on different tasks across a job - both for keeping track of ongoing projects, but also to plan resourcing and costs for the next time.
  • It's useful to be able to mark parts of a job as 'complete' before the full job is finished - this makes it easier to track which tasks still have to be finished, and makes sure that people are tracking time to the correct task within the job.
  • Job templates are very useful to make sure the same set of tasks is added to each job automatically.

  • Integrations with more customizable and two-way Facebook Ads or Google Ads for direct management by Monday
  • Automations of creating new tasks when some action or job is completed are sometimes confusing

  • I would like to be able to colour code my clients, so I can see at a snapshot what projects staff are working on.
  • I would like to be able to colour code staff holidays, public holidays so I can easily see what resources I have available.
  • As an administrator, I can't see at a glance the actual time spent on a task work or comments a user has logged.

    It sparks joy from the inner geek and master organizer in me. I've tried so many other tools that had a steep learning curve and seem like more work to manage than they were worth. monday.com has a great user interface, it's highly customizable and can be set up in minutes. They also have great resources if you need a bit more help. If you think it can do it, it probably does. Don't be afraid to play.

    Using monday.com, I've been blown away by the quality of customer service I've received. The only way I can think of is to have a different support person respond to a follow-up inquiry if you require more information. To avoid feeling as though a new person has joined a conversation, it would be wonderful to be able to converse with the same person again and over again.

    We signed up for the accounts. Created the accounts. Ran the trial version and tested it live while we were running multiple projects and found that it was fitting our needs perfectly. When the trial ended and we were asked to purchase the full version, we did. We have found other ways to use it and it's a breeze.

    We used an excel spreadsheet to track our month end close process previously which created a lot of issues around only one person being able to be in the checklist at any given time. Additionally, we were unable to have excel notify us when a task we need to have completed was done, but Monday.com has completely changed that for us!

    Deltek TrafficLIVE was the pre-existing system when I joined the company. When we decided to purchase a new system, we considered a number of options such as Kimble PSA, Oracle NetSuite & Mavenlink. We decided to go ahead with Kimble PSA because we felt that as a package, it provided all the functionality we need against its competitors. It had far more functionality than TrafficLIVE and was more suited to the scale of our business.

    • Much more clarity as to how much time each different type of brief should take to complete as we can back reference as to how long it took last season.
    • It has lead to better customer service. We can visibly demonstrate where we are with jobs and who has been assigned. In the past verbally confirming the different stages did not always convince the project leaders that they were being given the actual real time.
    • From the Studio users point of view it has empowered them to manage their time more efficiently. If they receive a request to move onto another job their calendars can be reviewed to see if they are available or not.
