Xerox Docu print is great but the cost and scalability is simply out matched by PaperCut. Licensing alone is significantly cheaper with PaperCut and we find more flexible with our needs in the education sector. PaperCut can have a less corporate feel if needed which is great …
PaperCut is easily a better program or product to use in a workplace environment that often faces too much paper wastage as we are able to keep track of how many print jobs have been dedicated to levels of paper usage and keep track of the jobs that have already been processed …
We did review products like uniFLOW, PrintManager, UniPrint before implementing PaperCut. We had heard good reviews from our friends and other sources. Some employees had also used it before and were familiar with the implementation process. It was easy to sync the software …
Print Audit is a similar set-up that boasts about server-based architecture and how they are using a reputable and current business model (you can google the articles to see the propaganda), but ultimately it falls short when compared to PaperCut. PaperCut is just easier to use …
Printerlogic combines cloud-based printer management, straightforward deployment and a user friendly experience in a single solution. We selected printerlogic because it best alligned with our goals of eliminating print servers, reducing IT overhead, improving security and …
Before I talk about how good Vasion's PrinterLogic is, I would like to highlight how poor TrustRadius site is. In the previous question, it asked me to identify other companies or products evaluated. Of the four other companies, which were all in the top 10, only one was …
PaperCut actually has more features and works better than Vasion's PrinterLogic from a copier standpoint. In my opinion, where Vasion's PrinterLogic works better though is that it had better compatibility for our Apple Mac users. It also has a cool feature that lets you place …
Vasion's PrinterLogic was already selected before I became an engineer in this group, so I don't have any insight into the previous situation. I do know that there were a LOT of Help Desk calls around printing because that is why a project was initiated in the first place to …
Vasion's PrinterLogic has made deployments and printer management seamless and easy. Arguably it is the best quality they have to easily deploy and service your end users with their printing solutions. This has toppled other competitors and allowed us to have a more streamlined …
This doesn't apply since I haven't used another printer management tool, app, or system. Vasion's PrinterLogic is the only one we actually used here in our school district. I don't have the ability to select different companies or vendors, but with my experience with this …
While I did tend to like the more in-depth reporting capabilities provided by Paper Cut, the overall ease of use, functionality, and Rapid deployment capabilities of Vasion's PrinterLogic heavily outweighs the perceived benefits of other printer Management Solutions offered by …
The overall support from Vasion's PrinterLogic is top notch. However, i would recommend them to scaleup their workforce a bit. Compared to the other vendor, the support is excellent and all the users, to be precise 90k are happy with this product. It has eased our lives in …
Pricing was better than all 3 competitors' proposals. Offered more features for all in one pricing instead of separating multiple features to jack up the price. The solution is owned and maintained solely in house minus the product updates. Consistently available no matter …
I have not used any other products like Vasion's PrinterLogic. We looked into Papercut before Vasion's PrinterLogic was recommended but didn't like what we saw when we compared the two products. Ultimately we went with Vasion's PrinterLogic because of its user friendly …
For environments that have multiple different departments or programs that would like to have printing costs tracked. The exact costs per page printed can be changed within the software - so exact costs can be calculated and billed back appropriately. It also makes printer management easier as you can see toner levels and any issues the printer may have remotely without having to utilize the printers GUI at all. Scan to folder/email options can be done on the admin side, so that it makes things easier for users
Great for users that frequently travel between offices. Users can log into their device and get the "local" printer installed based on their subnet. Alternatively, users can choose to send their print to their folder to be accessed on whichever printer they choose. It does this securely which is great for folks in healthcare settings
Centralized printing via virtual hold / release queues.
Confidential and secure printing via card authentication.
Scan to folder/email integration with Active Directory.
Printer specific scripting actions give you a ton of options. The canned scripts are super helpful as they are prebuilt and need very little modification.
Overall printing reports are very informative.
Mobility Print gives you a great solution for printing from Chromebook devices.
When using in a VM environment, sometimes it won't allow a driver recently changed to be re-added, making us change the printer name in Vasion's PrinterLogic each time
Sometimes Vasion's PrinterLogic won't recognize when a laptop has changed locations (i.e. the IP address changed) and won't push the new printers
Even though it supposed to push the same settings ever time, somehow certain computers still get different configurations, leading defaults to have to be selected
it may be a configuration issue but Work from home workers are able to print to clinics from home even though they are not supposed to
When Vasion's PrinterLogic has an outage the whole organization is calling about printer issues
Hands down one of our best investments for our IT staff. This has saved so much time and frustration and it well worth the cost. If the budget starts to gets tight, this is one of the last things we would cut out. We also purchased this through our copy machine vendor so it's nice that the charge is integrated with our copy machines lease
It’s mostly a “set it and forget it” solution, though we did need a third-party integrator to assist with the installation. The setup was complex, but once that hurdle was overcome, the system has been easy to maintain. The software also integrates seamlessly with Active Directory and other authentication platforms.
Interface has been very easy to use and figure out. Reports to see printer usage is helpful in finding or relocating printers that are over/under utilized and can save funds on continually supplying printers where maybe better utilizing the equipment already deployed will provide cost savings. Being able to make a change in one place and that change is replicated to all devices has been nice and easy to do.
A colleague has reported a performance issue with loading printer profiles on Edge. It sometimes takes a very long time to come up, and sometimes not at all, but he switches over to Chrome, and the interface comes up very quickly. This might be a fringe case, since I am able to launch the same profile on Edge browser without any problems.
The user community for PaperCut is smaller than other products we use in HR, IT, marketing and project management. We had an account manager assigned to us. Whenever we had any issues we would email him. The account manager was acting as an interface with the developers and other teams. The response times were reasonable.
Whenever I've contacted Vasion's PrinterLogic support the responses are always rapid and thorough. The support staff is knowledgeable and always happy to answer any questions I have. Most of the time we needed support was at the beginning of our implementation. Our account rep as well as technical support were skilled and responsive.
Xerox Docu print is great but the cost and scalability is simply out matched by PaperCut. Licensing alone is significantly cheaper with PaperCut and we find more flexible with our needs in the education sector. PaperCut can have a less corporate feel if needed which is great for pupils and also some of our staff!
Vasion's PrinterLogic was already selected before I became an engineer in this group, so I don't have any insight into the previous situation. I do know that there were a LOT of Help Desk calls around printing because that is why a project was initiated in the first place to try to find a solution to this problem. It was burning up a lot of Help Desk and deskside support time.
