In addition to Rippling, I've utilized ADP, Workday and Paylocity. My view is that Rippling is easier to implement and has a lower learning curve for employees. While others may be more robust in a specific area (i.e. ADP for payroll), Rippling covers more bases.

Ramp is great if you want to automate your expenses process. Ramp immediately responds when I (or someone on my behalf) make(s) purchase and I can easily pass receipts and notes live. No more searching for "stuff"!! I spend more time on my job and not worrying about chasing things down or forgetting what was purchased. I charge, I send notes, and I'm done. It's so easy!!! It's incredibly helpful to be able to instantly spin up a virtual card for employees on the go or who have planned expenses. It gets you away from a delayed reimbursement to remote employees and having expenses coded by the employees shortly after they make their purchases.
I was in search of an application where I can manage all employee and HR related queries and data together. We were using different Excel files to manage it. It was not so accurate and we do each entry manually. The accuracy is always hampered and it causes data mismatch every month. Randomly we get a reference to riplling and it solves all our problems accurately. The ease of doing and the user friendliness is superb. The integration is much easy than others. Report generation is much easier. Manage the data at a single platform becomes more easier. Rippling handles the onboarding of new employees sending to them the necessary documents to be compliant with the business, state and accrediting agencies. They have direct portal that these items can then be uploaded to. So intuitive and streamlined. Love it.
Rippling offers many services and we have taken advantage of several of these. The ability to have one entity that manages so many facets of our business is so helpful. No longer wondering who is responsible for what documentation or what business hours are for someone who handles our HR. Now, it's all in one place and highly efficient.
Efficient. It's a word I use a lot when asked about Rippling. They have saved us time, and eliminated our errors which also cost time and money. This is a game changer for us. Not to mention a relief on the nerves.
The system does not allow you to sort on all columns in some of the areas (not consistent from one screen to another).
When bills are entered in as a Bill Pay, the expense doesn't show up in a csv file until it is paid but it needs to be expensed in the system as the date of the Invoice.
If a vendor is paid through a credit card transaction as well as Bill Pay, you have to look at two different places in the system to see the details.
Maybe many options are hidden and you need to do many clicks to find them. But anyway, all the settings are correctly arranged.
Sometimes are options that appears like available but actually are not enabled based on your permissions, so that will need to be more accurate to avoid misunderstandings.
Rippling continues to innovate and amaze me with their new innovations and features. Product feedback is taken seriously so I always give it whenever I can and end up seeing results. As I explained, Rippling is very easy to work with. I can maneuver through the app very easily to find anything I’m looking for. It is a very smooth process for everything. They send alerts and reminders for the things that need to be completed. Rippling is a great tool.
I like that the availability in using Rippling at any given time is useful to me. Getting on the site freely when I need gives me security of knowing that I can be in control of viewing health insurance and hours information. I have yet to get any errors in using the Rippling app.
Rippling's performance has been great, no errors or glitches yet so far. It's really easy to implement in comparison to other tools or applications. Different key points are easily configured and implemented as per need, having different configurations in systems. Implementation is something which binds the different parameters of an organization in a single row. Implementation of rippling is much easier, quicker, and error free than any other software. I recommend it strongly!
We moved to Ramp from Expensify at our accountant's advice. We went with her advice due to ease of use, ease of Quickbooks sync, ability to send reminders with one click, and more. We are very happy with the decision to switch to Ramp.
Rippling stands up directly against the larger and more well known competitors in ADP and Workday. Rippling has a much more intuitive layout than both ADP and Workday. This may seem like a small complaint but I do not like the color scheme of Rippling compared to that of Workday but that is not enough of a negative to need to pay more and be less intuitive for the team
I can go on here and see all my hours and pto plus health benefits. I like to have the work handbook handy to refer to legal things. How to work my role within it's limits. Being able to put in my hours and view when they are approved is a huge benefit for me.
The actual dollar savings is difficult to determine at this point. We'll have a better idea the ROI at the end of the year. Previously, we received 1% back on all purchases with our corporate card. We receive 1.5% with Ramp, pay per number of cards annually (for Ramp Plus) to auto-lock cards and for additional features.
Time savings for admin and employees has been significant due to ease of use.
