Likelihood to Recommend I have tested two of software besides ThreatLocker. ThreatLocker by far, was the easiest of the 3 to work with and setup. One of the companies' software was too complicated to run and setup. The other one lacked a lot of the features that ThreatLocker had. ThreatLocker came with many prebuilt template for common software and utilities, like Office365, putty, Firefox, Google, etc. It came with a bunch of prebuilt blocking/ringfencing rules for utilities like powershell, hyper-v psexec, and many others. This saves setup time. Unfortunately, ThreatLocker will let you download something from the MS Store, sometime it will let you execute and sometimes it won't. I would like to see this to be able to block the download from MS Store until ThreatLocker approves the download.
Read full review I have experience with Watchguard Endpoint Security (EPDR) with small companies of five or more endpoints to large companies with hundreds of endpoints and find it well-suited for both types and everything in between. However, it is particularly good for companies with lean IT departments due to the awesomely automated and intelligent tools it provides for quick investigation and response. Also, its automated white list approval process for unknown executables is extremely fast thereby reducing and sometimes even eliminating delays that could impair employee performance.
Read full review Pros Application Control Privileged Access Management Storage access control Read full review Centralized management makes monitoring simple. Deployment is quick, easy, and automatable. Zero Trust means exactly that - if a process is not KNOWN to be safe, it is blocked until evaluated. IT managers can block or grant authority to override the automatic protection in case of the immediate need to allow a process known to be safe. Read full review Cons Ease of moving between organizations Removing agents from clients who depart Some UNC path definitions for local files and folders Read full review As with any application of this nature, it can block processes or other suspected security risks that are actually safe. While easy to use, it sometimes provides less learning opportunities for less experienced staff who are not as well-versed in these applications. Read full review Likelihood to Renew ThreaLocker has done its job and has prevented malware from executing. It has stopped an encryption process once already. It has kept a user from going to a bad website. He tried twice and was wondering why he was getting an error message from ThreatLocker and ESET both.
Read full review The ease of use, pricing, support, reliability, and quality of the product. Panda / WatchGuard products are highly rated, priced right and easy to maintain. All of this make it very easy to renew and purchase new licenses for us and our clients.
Read full review Usability ThreatLocker ease of use allows me to get the answers I need to any threats or denied action that ThreatLocker took. The "Unified Audit" is a great tool to show what is happening/executing on a user's computer or on a server. Unified Audit will allow to look at what steps a programs takes when it executes. It will show you if it calls on Powershell or what DLL's it is executing and many other things.
Read full review Easy and intuitive MSP management portal to manage all of your clients from a single pane of glass. Policies can be pushed down globally or individually based on needs. The client portal allows access to their tenant information and installs only which is nice if you are working with clients who might have an internal person or an IT team that also wants access to things to manage themself.
Read full review Reliability and Availability There is rarely ever an outage. I have seen slowness in ThreatLocker service. But that is very rare too!
Read full review The software is 100% managed on a cloud platform that can be managed via an account even if they are not present within the company network where the software is installed, I even always opened the control panel on the browser of my smartphone to monitor the situation.I have never experienced any abnormal software crashes
Read full review Performance ThreatLocker is always available. The admin's console loads very fast and report runs almost instantly. It does not interfere with operating system.
Read full review The only annoyance I complain, if we want to be picky, is the fact of the constant disconnections from the control panel.Every about 4 hours the account logs out even if I set the "remember this device" flag; having said that I have not noticed neither slowdowns nor conflicts with other software
Read full review Support Rating You can email, call or do online chat with tech support. I love their online chat. They are quick and friendly. Also, if you need to show them something, you can give the chat technician permission from your Chat box to allow the tech access to your computer. They also can pull out your admin console on their side. They can look at your "Unified Audit" log and see the same thing that you can. They have a good KnowledgeBase that you can look for answers. They have what is called "ThreatLocker University" where you can go through tutorials and take tests.
Read full review I gave it a 10 because I compare it to air conditioning. I need it to work every day, 24/7. I need it to be reliable and not something that requires a ton of interaction from staff to make sure it works every day. In addition, I should be able to run other things at my house when the AC is on. Panda fits that description.

Read full review The software goes manually on a PC only on the company network and then proceeds through that PC to install the software on all the other clients through the control panel where all the clients / servers on the network are detected with extreme speed and ease of execution, even for uninstallation and remote control over scans
Read full review Alternatives Considered I honestly have not seen many other programs like Threatlocker so I do not have any to compare to. Auto-Elevate may be the closest, however I did not evaluate them as part of my decision. Threatlocker does do a great job at onboarding which made deploying, setting up, and troubleshooting the program a breeze
Read full review Very similar. I feel like Watchguard need to get a better foothold with people trusting the name in the endpoint space. It has pretty much everything S 1 does but it also provides so much more. Simple things like patch management and encryption are fantastic adding that deliver true security value
Read full review Scalability ThreatLocker is very easy to add new ThreatLocker agents on computers and servers. It is very easy to do. You can install an agent on a computer or server in about 2 minutes or less.
Read full review With the implementation of watchguard (at the beginning Panda Endpoint, but it is the same) I was able to insert in the control panel all the unauthorized software previously installed by colleagues without any authorization from the various department heads. Now any licensed software goes into lockdown and can be unlocked from the control panel
Read full review Return on Investment Too early on to tell, however, if ThreatLocker ends up blocking just one ransomware attack for any of our clients, I'd argue that it payed for itself. Read full review [...] The ability to make website URL and category viewing restrictions resulted in higher productive personnel and reduced the risks of infection. For the IT department, the centralised management console with all the information and tasks prepared to deploy to the endpoints helps us work more efficiently and faster.
