BlueJeans was a choice for quick meetings, regular 1 on 1 check-ins, online events, and virtual webinars. It is used for regular standups in our organization. Our scrum team uses it for sprint planning and meetings. Yes, it supports our business purpose by allowing us to interact lively.
  • It offers me tremendous opportunities with low prices, robust features, and a friendly interface.
  • It allows me to handle my remote meetings efficiently and collaborate in real-time.
  • Building and engaging virtual connections, contacting my clients, and working with colleagues everywhere in the world.
  • When scheduling my meetings, the process feels a bit complex, and it could be easier to save time and schedule with just a click.
  • No file sharing capabilities.
  • Lacks common webinar features.
High security, best video quality, Dolby audio, and unique features will be more helpful during WFH.

At Georgia Tech, we used BlueJeans as our primary E-learning platform. It was used across the university in order to deliver online lectures and record in-class lectures to be later given to students. It is primarily used by the undergraduate population, especially during the pandemic, in order to attend lectures without having to be in person. All lectures were set up by either TAs or professors at the university.
  • Attractive interface.
  • Large group management.
  • Scalable.
  • Administration in calls.
  • Resizing the desktop window.
  • Live closed captioning.
  • Personal calls.
  • Polls.
  • Web-based feature parity.
BlueJeans is well-suited for lectures and other presentations in which a single person is in control of a large group. It allows for simple management of the audience, such as muting and removing if necessary, and the chat feature allows the audience to chime in. In scenarios much more personal, such as one-on-one calls, or for teams which have ongoing communication, other platforms exist which are more equipped to handle private communications or persistent data.

BlueJeans is used in my organization as the primary platform for meetings and presentations. It is used across the whole organization and is used for all types of meetings like 1:1 meetings, group meetings, exec level meetings, presentations, town halls, etc. It is a great platform and works smoothly and is especially critical in these times of virtual meetings.
  • I love the UI of BlueJeans. It is very user-intuitive and modern.
  • It is full of features. I especially love the video recording feature in which we receive an email with the video recording after the session ends.
  • It integrates seamlessly with Gmail and I can set BlueJeans meeting with one click only.
  • It does not show the list of users who have already joined. This is an important feature I feel.
  • Sharing the link with other is not very straightforward
  • It can have more features like live translation for users who don't understand the language
BlueJeans is a great platform for your virtual meeting needs. It works extremely well even in large organizations. There has been no instance of any technical failure that I have come across. It might not be the best platform for you if your team is spread across multiple geographies in which teams speak a different language as there is no live translation feature.

Bluejeans is a popular video conferencing platform that is used organization-wide for meetings and collaboration between different teams, from various functions like sales, IT, finance & HR as well as within people from these functions located across a number of geographical locations. Day to day calls between teams allows everyone to stay up to date with operational matters and sessions on planning projects or strategic topics also enable to plan and align on a broad list of business goals.
  • It is really useful for the IT team to support employees with their problems by allowing them to get into a call, discuss & troubleshoot the issue and then [share] screens to easily understand and then resolve a problem.
  • When a large audience is having a call, for example, HR rolling out a new policy to a huge number of employees, the Q&A section gives the opportunity to everyone to ask their questions and get answers in a well-organized way.
  • Another useful feature is that you can record your sessions, for example, if you are conducting training of employees or users on a new application or process, the session can be recorded and later used by people who could not attend or as a refresher.
  • Bluejeans could definitely improve the latency and smoothness of call, especially when a number of people are joining it, however, I am sure this is a continuous improvement process and they are already working on it. This experience is the most important aspect of such platforms.
  • Integration of bluejeans into our work accounts or applications could be improved to have a more convenient UX for example if you have an MS 365 work account and Bluejeans for meetings.
  • Another interesting functionality that could be added is a guiding tutorial on how to use the blue jeans interface when someone starts using it on any device for the first time, [especially] for guest users on the web version.
Bluejeans has a very wide use case list but if you ask me, it is a great tool if you want to collaborate with users who are already well versed with its UI or have been using it for a while and when the total number of people in the session [is] about 50. It is costly though, so if you have a work account with which a collaboration tool comes for free and is almost as powerful as BJ, then you might want to think about your selection of platform.

We use BlueJeans on a daily basis across the company for scheduling, hosting and attending meetings. These meetings often include both internal and external attendees, and we will often use BlueJeans Primetime when hosting an event with a large number of attendees. The BlueJeans platform allows us to collaborate together in real time even though many of our team members are attending remotely from locations across the country. It facilitates easy communication, content sharing and collaboration.
  • Collaboration.
  • Content sharing.
  • Group facilitation.
  • Hosting large leetings.
  • Recording and sharing events.
  • Virtual face to face interaction.
  • New user connectivity can be challenging.
  • First-time screen sharing on Mac requires quit/restart.
  • Joining from the mobile app and jumping between the call and the app can sometimes be challenging.
I have found BlueJeans to be very user friendly and easy to navigate, especially after having used it only once or twice. I have used many other types of meeting/conferencing systems and I believe the BlueJeans is one of the best. I was greatly impressed with the ease with BlueJeans interfaced with the conference room systems in our office as sharing content was as simple and intuitive as plugging in.

I use it for my meetings with Verizon as it is the platform they use virtual meetings. A few of us in OFS purchased the [BlueJeans Meetings] service specifically to enable easier collaboration with our customers/partners who use it as their corporate platform.
  • It is very easy to set up and initiate meetings.
  • It is feature rich and handles all meeting functions well.
  • There are never delays or outages during meetings.
  • I like it the way it is.
I have used it as the platform for meetings that included slides, charts, videos and live product/solution demos and there was never a hiccup. Virtual meetings however are not a replacement for personal contact which provides a richer context and opportunities to discuss nuanced concepts and arguments.

We use BlueJeans Meetings for a variety of meeting sessions, including internal briefings and external conferences. I work in the corporate finance department, which reports up to and works directly with our CFO. I am uncertain who all else uses the platform, but we've used the platform to interact with Marketing and C-suite. For some reason, the older people in our org prefer this platform...
  • Clean interface.
  • Security.
  • Recording function.
  • Backgrounds.
  • Capacity.
Honestly we use the platform the same we do with all other video conference platforms.

It’s being used for national sales meetings, committee meetings and by senior staff to disseminate information as well as team building.
  • Sales meeting getting changed across to all staff - this is invaluable.
  • Team building g creating cohesion having a laugh.
  • It helps staff in lockdown have some time out and helps their mental well being.
  • Poor internet is at times problematic but this is outside your control.
  • Have the meetings clearly displaying the different time zones.
  • Have a list of staff accepting (or that option for small groups).
You are just brilliant I’m also not aware of any security breaches unlike Zoom.

We use BJ for setting internal meetings, that is, inside CCC. We in our team use BJ frequently, about 4 times per week, for our standup and sprint meetings. We also use it when we have an important meeting.
  • Show online people.
  • The ability for making mute and turning on/off camera.
  • The ability of raise hand.
  • Chat panel.
  • Change background.
  • The ability to connect via phone number and internet.
  • BJ does not provide the ability to control someone's screen (screen control).
Generally, BlueJeans Meetings is good, some of them have been mentioned in previous questions plus its quality for sound. One thing, when our company has a big meeting (one meeting every two months) that more than 500 people attend, it does not use BlueJeans Meetings, it uses Microsoft Teams. I do not know why they prefer Teams. Finally, if BlueJeans Meetings can provide the feature for the screens control, it would be great.

We use BlueJeans Meetings to communicate virtually. We used to use it across the whole organization, but not anymore. When that occurred it was used to screen share and communicate.
  • BlueJeans has good hardware that connects well with computers.
  • The camera has good focus and quality.
  • Screen sharing capabilities are good.
  • It is no longer popularly used within the teams.
  • The branding behind it isn't great.
[BlueJeans Meetings] is great for screen sharing and communicating with large groups. It honestly has the same capabilities as Zoom so I am unsure why it is not used as often as Zoom. It is not as appropriate for casual conversations such as personal 1:1 with direct reports. For example, most of the time, the camera is on.

BlueJeans [Meetings] is used for meetings and general discussions. It addresses the problem of meeting in person.
  • Allow collaboration over virtual meetings.
  • Consistency with bandwidth.
  • Ease of use.
  • Larger room capacities.
  • Better backgrounds for professional use.
  • More apparent indicators for certain usages of the application.
BlueJeans [Meetings] is best for formal, longer meetings or even classes that require more peer-to-peer interaction than other applications. While BlueJeans [Meetings], excels at this feature, it is important to discuss where it is lacking. BlueJeans [Meetings] can be unreliable or confusing to work [in the sense] that it doesn't showcase all of its features too well [and] breeds an atmosphere of awkwardness or silence since it can be clunky to utilize efficiently.

The BlueJeans app is being used to conduct virtual meetings. It was especially helpful during COVID-19 when we had to work remotely. I was a new employee and I used BlueJeans to learn my new job. It is being used across the whole organization. To discuss issues, deadlines, projects, initiatives, etc. and conduct remote training.
  • Remote training.
  • Collaboration.
  • Easy interface.
  • Frequent disconnects.
  • Not always intuitive.
  • Back screen with no options to click on anything.
Well suited for those who would like to be trained remotely. Just share your screens and go from there. Very convenient! It is a basic and simple app that does not have advanced features. Simple to use and easy to navigate around. If you are looking for something fancy, pick Zoom.

I believe it's widely used in the whole company. It's the default meeting app we use on a daily basis.
  • High audio quality (w/ Dolby tech on).
  • Efficient background noise cancellation (w/ Dolby tech on).
  • Integration of the MS Office calendar.
  • The app sometimes got issues with handling various configs of I/O devices. Usually, it leads to an echo like when other participant's mic captures your voice. Although, it may be due to some random conflicts with OS (I'm using Windows and with desktop app).
  • Monochromatic chat box - why not use regular colours like in MS Teams / Slack?
If you value high audio quality during the conference calls, that's the solution you're looking for.

Toray Research Center is using this conference call tool as a whole. Also, Toray Industries is using this tool for domestic conference calls in Japan. TRC Sales team is always using this tool just in case [so that] customers do not feel uncomfortable. Mostly used for customer meetings globally. Analysis services always requests detailed discussions about what equipment [and] what analysis techniques are being applied for customers needs.
  • Audio is always excellent.
  • Time lag does not happen.
  • Verizon merged with BlueJeans [which] is a big marketing chance delivering confidence.
  • Our customers like this application in U.S.
  • Menu is not diversified comparing with Zoom.
  • Scheduling is not convenient. Scheduling is not noticeable which is the most important function.
  • Sometimes this does not work with Japanese colleagues and U.S. customers.
  • [I wish] scheduled events popped up automatically on the PC screen.
When you need to schedule events with internal customers or/and internal colleagues, the BlueJeans icon is noticeable. If I click the BlueJean icon, you automatically see the icon with BIG noticeable color and size. The U.S. customers are very comfortable with the notification which is not visible to me. I hope customers are pleased to see the popped-up icon with a smile.

"The issue of Bluejean" is less well-known among potential customers. More importantly, customers are confused with Verizon and Bluejean. Customers confusion is always a huge hick-up from sales and marketing perspectives. Now, if customers are not confused, Bluejean needs to beat Zoom's positioning as a #1 brand for video con call. COVID is the chance to beat Zoom. After COVID, the positioning of Zoom will be solid which is similar to Hertz and Avis.. The position does not change at all.

Bluejeans is used across the whole organization, starting from IT, sales, quality, and logistics.
Important decisions are taken considering that we are implementing a new ERP system.
During this lockdown period BlueJeans [Meetings] became fundamental for the sales and internal project.
We are implementing a new ERP completely without people presence. We have several meeting every day with more then 10 people to each meeting.
This without connection problem. In addition this system works perfectly with several platform.
  • Easy to use
  • Stable
  • Improve the quality for low bandwith connection
  • Sharing file could be a good improvement
Organizing meetings with different teams that are located in [a] different country. [BlueJeans Meetings allowed us] to save time and travel expenses.
In our organization there are no less appropriate scenario.
The decisions are more fast then before.

It was used as our dominant video conferencing platform and for telehealth. We are no longer using it for telehealth. We have also significantly scaled back our use of BlueJeans for video conference calls and have migrated to a new platform.
  • Moderator Codes
  • Detailed Analytics
  • Customer Service
  • Video Quality
  • Prioritization of compression streams (audio >> video >> content)
  • Needs to hold up better in low bandwidth environments
  • Pricing is expensive
- Would not recommend for telehealth.
- It's good for basic video conferencing.
- Does not work so well with Cisco video codecs.

BlueJeans is used internally by most of the Sales, Support, and Merchandising Teams here in our UK office along with our offices in Germany and Belgium to help staff meet and collaborate with other staff and those external to the company. I would say that the Technical Team probably uses this the most, as we have been very heavily relying on BlueJeans to provide demonstrations of products and services to end customers during the ongoing pandemic and the functionality within BlueJeans has meant we can keep that level of professionalism that would normally be seen in the boardroom in person, to translate across to a digital meeting.
  • Simplicity: It is easy to join meetings whether you have used it before or not.
  • Sharing content: Allows you to easily share your screen, or parts of your screen to collaborate with others during a call.
  • The ability to invite people from both within and outside of the organization, along with dialing in videoconferencing, room systems is a real bonus.
  • Quizzes/Polls App: It would be great if they could introduce something like a quiz app within the interface for things like training classes, where instructors could prepare questions to launch for participants to answer. I think Zoom does this with their "polls," but haven't come across this functionality in BlueJeans yet.
  • Not much else I can think of that I would like to see different at the moment.
BlueJeans has never been unsuited for a use-case from personal use. It works flawlessly, allowing quick and simple joining whether you are part of the BlueJeans account or if you are outside of the organization. I have tested and used several solutions over the last couple of years and BlueJeans "just works." It may sound corny to say that, but I have not had issues with it picking up webcams and microphones, etc. like I have with other solutions. It is great for conference calls, training/webinars, and demonstrations.

It is used by the leadership team of a specific business segment. We use it on a weekly basis when we have our calls. It addresses the current situation of not being able to travel but still see video images of team members based across the world as well as sizable presentation slides.
  • As compared to other tools it allows us to see more than 5 video screens of team members even when presentations are being shared.
  • There is a slider for us to choose so as to not not compromise the size of presentation or audience.
  • The latest improvement of seeing more than 9 video screens is simply amazing!
  • It sometimes has audio connection issues.
  • The customer service team is also very tardy at responding.
  • The pop-up screen of videos cannot be hidden easily during presentation.
  • It does seem very sensitive to bandwidth support hence it is important for everyone to have good bandwidths to use BlueJeans.
it is not within company policy which I can only assume that there might be some security issues, like Zoom. However as compared to Webex and Teams it definitely works better.

BlueJeans was originally purchased as a meeting room video conferencing solution and grew into a corporate video conferencing solution. Following the recent pandemic it quickly grew to be a corporate solution being utilised across all the council departments for all meetings that could no longer be conducted face to face.
  • Accessibility, app and in browser access is key to the success of our roll out.
  • Secure, encryption and strong moderator tools enable a secure meeting platform.
  • Quality, excellent audio and video quality.
  • Ease of use, from moderator to meeting attendee the system is very intuitive and easy to use.
  • Reporting could be improved, although there is a good reporting suite, it would be beneficial to have more flexibility with some of the reporting. For example running activity reports across a set of accounts over a user defined period.
  • We have had some issues with meetings overlapping and where the room is locked. It would be good to have a waiting area for those attempting to get into meetings or functionality to let you know someone is waiting.
  • We have had some issues of users not logging in as a moderator by mistake and it would be helpful to have a way for a user to switch to a moderator without having to leave the room.
BlueJeans is ideally suited where you have a mix of meeting attendees and particularly where you have external people attending as the solution lends itself to being very flexible for access. Meetings where attendees are likely to exceed 75 are not appropriate and would suggest looking at the BlueJeans event platform for such meetings.

It is being used by across whole organization including overseas offices. Mainly higher management (C level) uses BlueJeans heavily. It addresses the transport cost, remote working problems.
  • Quality.
  • User friendly.
  • Great support.
  • Visibility via command center.
  • Bandwidth utilization is high when compared to other tools such as MS Teams, Zoom. This is the main challenge we face.
  • Reporting and administration is bit difficult. As an example, as company admin, I cannot delete user IDs which are not up to the standard. This wastes time.
  • BlueJeans is bit late to implement some features which are already with other products. As examples, raise hand feature, custom background, etc.
It suits for VC room systems where users are in different platforms. (Room systems, mobile, desktop client, laptop, etc).
Not suitable for small VCons where only laptops or mobiles, tabs are being used. There are so many cheap solutions for low end VCs.

We are using BlueJeans only in our department since we knew it from clients who organized video conferences via BlueJeans that we were invited to. The performance and usability had convinced us so that we decided to get our own account to be able to have internal as well as external video conferences regularly. Within our team a special need exists for having a tool that can be accessed by everyone and from everywhere since we are one team split across a number of the firm's offices. For internal discussions and alignment we need to rely on digital tools and found that video conferencing does have a different impact compared with a "blind" telephone conference. During Covid-19 crisis and the complete shift to working from home we used BlueJeans for our brief but daily check-in routines also to get a feeling for everyone's moods and needs. We also started to use BlueJeans for (now digital) mock-trials we regularly hold in preparation for actual court trial. Having a number of speakers displayed at the same time while others can just listen in (and the moderator has control over muting all participant's video and audio, etc) plus the option to record the session proved to be a premium even to meeting in-person.
  • The number of users visible simultaneously.
  • Integrating collaboration tools (screen sharing, chat, etc.).
  • Easy to use scheduling via calendar integration.
  • Video quality.
  • Reliable performance/connectivity speed.
  • Interoperability with other VC systems.
BlueJeans can be used by any user who does not know the service and has no account without problems. It is self-explaining and easy to use.
The mobile device apps are great especially for dialing in while traveling or from really just anywhere.
It can be used vis-à-vis clients/customers, the branding option comes in handy for that.
It can be used internally and on-the-spot ("let's dial in, here's my code") without the need to schedule.

BlueJeans is used by the whole company. It is our main tool for internal and external meetings and conference calls. Most of us, in my teams, have it integrated with our calendars and internet browsers so it is very easy and handy to manage the meetings with BlueJeans call details. We are a very distributed team and BlueJeans helps us to operate, and now during the coronavirus times, it is even more important.
  • Integration with Google Calendars
  • The quality of the calls.
  • Information about who is in the call and how.
  • Plan concurrent meetings with the same ID.
  • PIN for moderators. I think it is important to have them but I have been in many calls where we could not go ahead because the moderator is not there. It is a bit frustrating, it should be easier to have meetings without PINs or allow others to own the meeting as well. Most of our meetings should not need a moderator PIN.
  • Whiteboard: It is not very easy to use, I have worked with other whiteboards that are more intuitive.
Well suited:
  • Very easy to manage video conference calls meetings and a very good interface to have all the information we need.
  • Very good quality for screen sharing in a bit more interactive session.

Less appropriate:
  • I think it needs some work and user experience thinking for more collaborative sessions, like using the whiteboard or even other options that other products on the market have.

BlueJeans is used by most of our organizations to have remote audio&video conferences for internal and customer meetings. It helps to have seamless, trouble-free conferences with high-quality communication. You can record the whole meeting and share it with others who missed the meeting. Also, it can work under low network connection, which enables you to use the tool in many places where the mobile signal is weak.
  • Recording the meetings
  • Working in low network coverage
  • Single click to login
  • Save previous frequent meeting IDs instead of searching the link.
  • Pop up the application automatically on the meeting time.
BlueJeans is a tool specific to meetings; you click the link and join the meeting. No need to search the person for the conference, no complexity. BlueJeans is used as a whole by the organization. However, mostly by the IT department for video conferencing and screen sharing as well as other duties. It allows the participants to not only save time and travel but also to meet and collaborate with internal and external clients continuously. With today's endemic happening BlueJeans is relied upon much more frequently.
  • Very easy to start up and navigate throughout the meetings.
  • Screen sharing is a strong point.
  • Very user friendly, trusted and I love the collaboration effectiveness
  • Its also very colorful and I love the startup, 'Welcome to BlueJeans'
  • More interactive training sessions to attract more users.
  • Allowing the participants of a meeting more control.
  • The ability to have large scale meetings (200+ participants)
  • More interactive training for new users
  • BlueJeans is well-suited for not only the well in-advanced scheduled meetings but also for the quickly needed meetings that can save a lot of time, travel, and money. I love the start-up feature when I have the meetings connected to my video system.
  • The only scenario where it can be less appropriate is when the client is unable to use BlueJeans as a means of videoconferencing.
  • With today's endemic going on BlueJeans is needed for companies that continue to do business remotely.
  • Also can be used for social distancing as a tool to connect with relatives and friends.
