Overall Satisfaction with 6sense

6sense is used by our BDR & sales team. The use case is to allow give better insights into which companies & hopefully the individuals at those companies are interested in mine. The idea behind it is to get in front of the buyer's motion. There is some research that I won't cite since this isn't a scientific paper, that explains buyers usually already made up their minds before they start contacting vendors. 6sense helps you get in contact before that point,
  • Let's you know if someone from a companies web domain is searching your website
  • Can rank companies based off the different intent data it accumulates
  • Integrates with Salesforce
  • Can't really pull Salesforce data from 6sense extension into Salesforce reports
  • Doesn't usually pull out a specific contact. Instead just an unknown contact from a company
  • Scores can be manipulated by marketing metrics & not represent actual intent
  • It has gotten me more meeting companies that have high intent
  • Has landed a deal for me
  • Granted it was my smallest deal so my I'm unsure what the ROI is
It does a great job of identifying companies that are viewing my webpage. I'm unsure of how good it works for identifying individual contacts, or maybe my company hasn't set it up in a manner to accel at that. 6sense definitely allowed my team to view anonymous signs that have helped close deals.
I have not evaluated other vendors in this space. I've heard of other companies using Demandbase, however, I am unaware of the pro's/cons of each. Ultimately, I 6sense helps sales. Depending on your company, you'll have to decide what's best for you. Try to weigh costs vs opportunity loss costs.

If you're looking to buy intent software 6sense is great. I'm not sure what the cost of it is, as I'm an IC. If it's expensive, maybe build out better reporting for your marketing events & cadences for sales pre-event/during/post. I've seen companies adopt both strategies & the marking typically brings similar results.
