Overall Satisfaction with Acquia DAM (Widen)
We used Widen to organize our marketing resources internally and to share them externally with our partners via the portals. We work with foodservice distributors, retailers, and restaurant owners to advertise our product. This platform allowed us to share our logo files, photos, videos, and training tools. We loved how we could organize our assets internally. It was more difficult to provide the "search" capabilities with our external partners via the portals. Widen had a good onboarding process with our team and did take feedback from us. However, there were just some functions and capabilities they could not provide so we ended up switching providers.
- Adding Metadata
- Version Control
- Bulk Editing
- Search Capabilities in Portals
- Having to build our own images for use in portals to make it more visual
- Increased ability to share assets
The Widen DAM system helped us evaluate all of our marketing resources to discover duplicates and outdated resources. It was easy to search through our assets and to share assets, especially in our email communications. That was one of our favorite features.
We started with the Widen system but ended up switching to Brandfolder. Brandfolder had the consistent interface across internal and external platforms. It was easier to use and search for assets for our internal team and brand partners. I preferred the Widen system's ability to share assets with direct links and the ability to add metadata upon upload.
