Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign

I use ActiveCampaign as a self-love coach to help me manage my contacts as a CRM, and for my email marketing campaigns. I use it for automation to make sure that when someone subscribes or downloads a freebie, that they are sent a series of nurture emails. I have used it for free challenges to make sure that reminder emails were sent out daily. I also send out emails with relevant information based on tags attached to customer profiles and I use it to let them know about special bonuses and offers for coaching packages and digital products.
  • It is really good with automation setups for email sequences.
  • It’s easy to add notes to customer profiles (unlike ConvertKit).
  • I feel like I can grow with this software as my company grows, with upgrade package options that include SMS messaging and other advanced features.
  • It is affordable at the lowest tier.
  • It is a little bit clunky and slow. I wish it would load faster.
  • It can have a higher learning curve than other software when it comes to more advanced automation.
  • Limited CRM functionality, particularly on the lowest tier.
  • It has made segmenting my audience easier so that I can send out relevant emails to leads and customers.
  • It has made keeping track of customer interactions outside of email easy to put into one place in the notes section of my contacts.
  • It has saved me time by creating automations with email marketing.
I like ActiveCampaign because compared to ConvertKit, I think it has a lot more capability and there’s a lot more room to grow with customization in automation. I am on the first tier, so I have limited access to some of the more advanced features, but I like that even on the first tier I can add customer notes and use it as a very basic CRM. I could not do this with ConvertKit.

Do you think ActiveCampaign delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ActiveCampaign's feature set?

Yes

Did ActiveCampaign live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ActiveCampaign go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ActiveCampaign again?

Yes

I think this software is best suited for those who are serious about email marketing and utilizing automation to increase sales and customer retention. It is more suitable for those who are more technically savvy, particularly when it comes to creating automation, but basic email marketing can still be done without automation and limited technical knowledge. It’s definitely a step up from free services like MailChimp, and I like that you can also segment and add tags to your contacts.
