Overall Satisfaction with ActivTrak

We are an Insurance Agency and have used ActivTrak to accomplish several things for our team. 1) To measure our team's workload. To make sure they are not running at maximum levels for long periods. 2) We use the screen capture as a backup to our E&O. We've had times that ActiveTrak captured confirmations from our carriers that changes have been made, only to find out later that the submissions didn't go through. The screen capture has provided proof that we did indeed process the change. 3) To help efficiency and workflows. Seeing how our team navigates through their work has allowed us to train and find better options for how they are doing work. It isn't only about getting more done but having our team spend less energy (emotional or physical) working through their daily tasks. and 4) tracking our team's performance as they work remotely. While we have a great team we can trust, it is good to verify and reward those who are performing well.
  • Workload: Am I burning my team members out? Do I have team members who are "slacking" in relation to my other team members? Do I have an ALLSTAR that I need to recognize?
  • Activity Breakdown: Where are they spending their time? Where do they get bogged down in getting tasks accomplished?
  • Website Tracking - are they going to places they shouldn't during business hours?
  • Ability to block websites or activities that aren't appropriate for the workplace.
  • Onboarding: They seem to want to send you a bunch of "videos" as you deploy the software yourself and work through the configuration.
  • I would love if they had some ready to implement configurations based on industry.
  • It has helped us improve workflows of our team.
  • It has helped us see that we needed to replace underperforming staff even after being coached and having their issues addressed.
  • It helped us know that we had a few ROCKSTARS burning out from overworking.
  • The screen capture has saved our butts when we had processed some things on other websites only to have them come back and say it didn't happen. We had visual proof.
  • While it was a bit nervous to implement because there is a negative about employees being monitored, it has provided us with coaching opportunities to help our team improve.
  • Screen Capture - helps cover our actions when dealing with companies outside of our own.
  • Work Balance - do we have team members we are burning out or ones that are slacking.
  • Site Tracking - knowing where our team is spending their time.
The biggest thing is seeing workflows and being able to train our team better to be more efficient and to structure initial training to help people move through things more easily. We have also been able to monitor what sites team members are getting lost in or spending too much time on and restrict where needed.
We've been able to shift team members' responsibilities to balance things out. We found out our team spent 25% of their day quoting and hired someone to offload those responsibilities.
We have been able to see how multiple team members do things and then taken best practices from each of those and rewritten manuals to become more efficient. We have also found the sites that are sticky or cumbersome to navigate so we can address it with the hosts on how they could fix their sites for better flow.
We didn't compare. This was recommended by other agency owners we trusted, and after reading reviews, we went with it.

This is excellent software if you wonder what your team is doing when you aren't there. If you want to improve your team's workflows and efficiencies so they get more done with less fatigue, this is a great thing to have. This is not spyware. It isn't designed to capture keystrokes. It is designed to help your team improve performance and for management to understand what they are doing and help them improve. If you want to micromanage your team, then don't use this.
