Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

I use Adobe Acrobat in many different ways. Whether it's creating and editing pdfs for print and web, building out fillable and signable forms for key departments, reorganizing and merging multiple documents together, or simply transforming a word doc into something universally viewable by our internal and external constituents. It's one of the most frequently used tools in my day to day work.
  • Creating and editing pdfs
  • Converting image to text
  • Merging multiple files into a single document
  • Could feature more robust font integration.
  • When editing an image to text pdf, text boxes are often broken up into small chunks, which makes editing a bit more time consuming.
  • Copying text from a pdf and exporting it to other tools usually results in excessive line breaks, instead of continuously flowing through the new document, which adds additional editing time.
  • PDF viewing, editing and merging.
  • Image to text conversion.
  • Word (or other file type) conversion to PDF format.
  • Form creation.
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
Ease of use is probably the most important factor that I would consider when talking about PDF management. These documents are the work horses of departments across our District, I spend a good chunk of my time editing, updating, merging or creating them for distribution in email and on our website. Having a tool that cuts down on time, has the features I need readily available, and has a modern UI is something that I find extremely valuable.
  • Increased productivity (time saved).
  • Communications efficiency (by providing an easily sharable document format).
  • Flexibility (it's a powerful tool and allows me and my team to meet the requests of different departments in creative ways).
Security is essential for us as a public institution, so it is certainly a consideration factor. It is also one of the major reasons we so extensively use PDFs instead of other document types (like Google or Word) - a PDF can be saved and locked in a non-editable format - and we value that.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

It's a fantastic tool. Adobe Acrobat is very useful for simple document edits/updates, merging files, converting images to text, making forms, etc. It is my go to for pdf file management and does it's job well. The only place I'd say it is less suited to would be document design. It does not compete with industry standards, such as InDesign, when it comes to creating something new from scratch.
