Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We use ADP Workforce Now primarily for payroll processing, tax filing, and reporting. I'm the main user in the company, but other members of the corporate team may utilize it for miscellaneous reporting. After hiring and on-boarding an employee, it's my primary tool to access employee information, ranging from earnings to personal information to benefit accruals.
  • Payroll processing is top notch. I haven't encountered any payroll mistakes utilizing ADP Workforce Now that weren't user created.
  • It's user friendly. Anyone that's spent time on a computer can navigate ADP Workforce Now with ease.
  • In payroll there are tight deadlines. Sometimes there are ADP outages that put stress on these deadlines.
  • Too much automation with customer service. I typically will only call if I've exhausted all other options. If I'm calling, it means I want to talk to a live person and quickly.
  • While its difficult to give a hard number on it's worth, I've been able to use reporting across many different job responsibilities. While we primarily pay ADP for the payroll processing and tax filing services, we use it for way more than just that.
I use ADP Workforce Now for a lot more than payroll processing - On-boarding, benefits tracking, paid time off, ACA reporting, Labor Statistics, EEO reporting, etc.
  • Employee Navigator
We are expecting to integrate Employee Navigator and ADP in the next couple of months.
I've had very few issues with ADP. It's easy to learn and easy to use. At the end of the day, I want payroll to be processed on time and correctly and that's what it does. I find reporting to actually be the best asset of ADP Workforce Now as it's benefited me in other areas of my job. Reporting is customizable and has helped me complete tasks ranging from EEO reporting, benefits administration, ACA reporting, Labor Statistics reporting, etc.

COVID-19 Response

For the most part, ADP did well. They kept us informed on the fly of the many different COVID-19 provisions and what they were doing on their end to meet the needs associated with these provisions (ie: CARES Act, PPP Loans, FFCRA).

While ADP customer support was understandably a bit slow in the beginning of the pandemic, I felt they adapted well and were still able to meet our needs.
A majority of our employees work on construction sites out in the field, so this doesn't quite apply to our business as our work didn't really skip a beat through the pandemic. We knew that ADP was there to assist us as it related to the PPP Loan, but we weren't in need of ADP's assistance for this.
I would say these resources did not make an impact to our HR decision making during COVID-19
We have very few employees that utilize the mobile offering, but the few that do enjoy being able to monitor their pay stubs and accumulator information on the go. Some employees are still a bit old fashioned and rely on me for that information, so hopefully they'll adapt to the mobile solution in the future!
