Overall Satisfaction with Alteryx
I implement Alteryx across multiple verticals and across all levels of organisations. I've been using Alteryx alongside many other ETL/ELT, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Warehousing solutions for many years. I am constantly impressed by how rapidly it can be deployed and how the benefits can be seen on day one. This platform can revolutionise businesses that are still dependent on Excel, SQL, or other legacy platforms and can immediately remove the bottleneck many businesses have due to IT being the focal point of data reporting and analytics. With the constant development of the platform and the vast global community, Alteryx is always at the cutting edge, whether that be constant improvements to the standard data blending and prep tools to the emergence of automated machine learning, image analysis, etc. Basically, Alteryx can do everything with your data. Code-free.

- Data visualisations could be improved, but it syncs with Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI etc.
- On average, we see the time to deploy to be around 10% of what it would take a SQL team.
- One major client reported a task deemed impossible by a team of around 20 IT employees using SQL over the course of 9 months was done by one consultant using Alteryx in just over 12 days.
- The impact is huge. Every user can now do what every coder can do in a fraction of the time—no need to learn to code.
The two listed are the closest to having an Alteryx-like functionality, with Knime being the better offering of the two. Neither comes close to the breadth of functionality available in Alteryx.
Knime has a very good predictive analytics offering, but to get to the point where you can use them, I would recommend Alteryx, which then makes it pointless having Knime as you would use the automated machine learning capabilities in Alteryx.
Talend lacked the functionality and is clearly aimed at a more technical audience.

You can integrate with anything. The platforms mentioned are out of the box, and there are many more I haven't personally used, but you simply select the connector, and away you go. You can also write your own connector as Alteryx can connect to anything that has a connector such as an API, ODBC, etc. The connection is very straightforward.

1. Engage a skilled partner. Talk to Alteryx and ask for a partner they would recommend. There are certifications provided by Alteryx that prove the proficiency the partner has in the platform. If you can find one with an Expert certified consultant, that would be a good start. There are only about 30 Expert qualified users in the world, so it's a high bar!
2. Provide the users with support when they are setting up. A skilled partner will obviously help with this, but ensure the users have time and support to learn the product.
