Overall Satisfaction with Appian

The professional services team was brought in to manage the implementation of our business processes on Appian have been very professional and highly skilled.
Appian is being used to help transform our service delivery organsiation, standardising our fragmented global business process that is currently very reliant on spreadsheets. It will provide greater visibility to the organisation on how we work, and allow us to further improve our processes.
  • Modular, responsive, mobile ready, user interface.
  • Low code philosophy means solutions can be turned from idea to PoC and implemented process very quickly when compared to traditional application building.
  • Strong Professional Services team to help implement Appian solutions.
  • Deployment and application management between environments needs refinement.
  • The mobile UI, whilst good, is only available in the native Appian mobile app, which could be restritive for some.
  • The UI, whilst it has its strengths, because it is modular can struggle to meet some more advanced UX use cases.
  • It is too early to say yet what impact Appian has had on our ROI, but the expectation is that there will be productivity gains across the organisation.
I've not used a BPM tool like Appian in the past.
It is well suited to a linear business process that is well understood, and is very task orientated, and can be carried out largely on a browser-based environment. It is less suited to business processes that are very fluid or involve stages within them that are different each time.
