Overall Satisfaction with Avalara
We use Avalara in a couple of departments. It addresses our exempt sales (CertCapture) as well as our tax calculations and tax return needs.

- Speed of import (takes a day to recalculate sometimes)

I was not on that team, but was told it was fairly difficult. We cannot currently integrate our ERP because it is an older version.

Avalara Returns and CertCapture have helped us tremendously. The Professional Services have been a bit more disappointing. For example, they did a nexus study (and charged us quite a bit for it). Then, when we questioned the results in a few states from our own research, they said oops, we were wrong and didn't give us any money back! The backfiling service takes a very long time to complete and every time I ask someone at Avalara a question about it, I seem to get a different answer. Very confusing.
