Overall Satisfaction with Basecamp

We use Basecamp internally with team members and external clients. It is being used and has been used company wide as it addresses two key problems that existed before we moved to Basecamp. First is keeping everyone up to date—the information is kept in one place. The second is when someone joins a team or project, Basecamp allows them to catch up without the need to send copies of emails and files as the newcomer can find all the information, discussions and files in one place.
  • File sharing
  • Notes
  • Ability to add or drop members
  • Deeper Google Drive integration
  • Integration with Slack
  • Better search
  • Basecamp has saved us time.
  • The big benefit is reviewing progress on projects by external teams.
I prefer Basecamp over Trello as it is more complete and easier to use.
Basecamp is great for teams. It is really useful for teams that work in multiple locations. The mobile access has been improving over time and has gotten to the point where 95% of my use is able to be done on mobile. Email of notices is great but It is less appropriate for people who prefer to live outside of email and need to be aware of what is happening. Notifications in-app help, but they can become annoying.
