Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
We use BigCommerce as our main eCommerce solution company-wide. It does an excellent job of streamlining our online retail sales by integrating apps such as Connex for Quickbooks, inkFrog for eBay, and ShippingEasy to make our sales flow more or less automated. Which is a huge plus for us as we are a small sales team so our employees fill many roles and having everything run through BigCommerce in a more or less automated fashion allows for more time to accomplish our other tasks.
- BigCommerce has a very easy to use user interface. Especially with customizing the themes. I am not a web developer so it is very helpful for someone with little experience to be able to put together a well functioning, aesthetically pleasing website.
- BigCommerce customer support is awesome. They are always very easy to get a hold of and always knowledgeable.
- The BigCommerce development team is also really good at connecting with us as customers and they really listen to our feedback to always improve the platform.
- As with any multi-use platform such as BigCommerce, there are some bugs that need addressing. For example, the BigCommerce native shipping platform is somewhat buggy and not very easy to use. We simply use a third party shipping platform with ShippingEasy so it isn't really a big deal.
- Some of the product editing features are a little tedious to use as you have to switch between different pages a lot. That being said they are currently working on a different version that the development team demo'd a little and it addressed these issues. The new platform just hasn't rolled out yet.
- One thing that we wish we had more control of is order statuses. BigCommerce gives you the option to edit the title of the existing order status, but you are not able to add custom ones which would be very helpful.
- BigCommerce has had a very positive impact for us. Our conversion rate is higher, as well as traffic to the site due to the SEO customization options.
- BigCommerce has also reduced our cost and overhead. Now that we are integrated into accounting, shipping, and eBay inventory apps it has reduced the amount of labor that went into managing orders.
- Also, being that BigCommerce is so user-friendly and their support team is always on hand, we have not had to hire a professional webmaster to maintain the site which has saved us a lot in overhead.
$1 to $10 million
The use of third-party integrations has been huge for us. Being able to integrate our BigCommerce storefront into our accounting and shipping has really made order fulfillment a million times easier and is nearly fully automated. This has reduced the amount of time our employees need to spend filling orders which for our small team is a huge advantage. Now we can focus more on growing the company and customer service.
We really liked BigCommerce because being a firearms related company it is very difficult to find other platforms that will even work with us. BigCommerce has been nothing but supportive and makes our job much much easier.
