Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We use Raiser's Edge NXT for constituent and fundraising tracking. Our fundraisers find the user-friendly webview a definite advantage.
  • Fundraising dashboards.
  • Action management.
  • Email marketing.
  • need to have same gift batch capability as the database view.
  • better customization of the gift form.
  • more insights to use in report builder.
  • Ease of use.
  • Processing of automated recurring gifts.
  • Blackbaud plug in for Outlook to send emails which create actions.
  • Negative - many tasks still need to be handled through database view
  • Positive - fundraisers able to work more effectively
  • Positive - increased efficiency for receipting and giving statements
We upgraded from non-hosted Raiser's Edge so we did not evaluate other products.

Detailed list creation is still better suited in Raiser's Edge database view. The NXT list capability is limited.

3 - 2 IT personnel who handle the cloud and technical issues. 1 database admin who handles supporting the users, managing the system and security, working with user problems and dealing with Blackbaud.

Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Support

Often there is a delay in getting in touch with support. We have had a few issues that they had difficulty resolving. The support we had during our integration and upgrade to NXT was less than sufficient.

No. Budgetary reasons. It was a big step for us to upgrade to the product as it was.
Yes - Yes. The annual Giving statement was not computing gifts correctly. The support team was able to correct the problem fairly quickly.

Using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

There is a lot we still must do in database view. I find the reporting in NXT to be insufficient.
