Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We track all contacts with our donors, all gifts, mailings, prospective donors, ratings on donors, biographical data, etc. We track all the appeals and campaigns that we fundraise under. Anything that has to do with fundraising is housed in NXT. It keeps the data on our donors organized and easily retrieved and reported on.
  • Well organized files.
  • More fields than what you can use.
  • A variety of ways to accomplish similar tasks.
  • NXT and database view are vastly different.
  • NXT is "flashier" but lacks the functionality of database view.
  • NXT and database view use different terms for the same items - Very confusing.
  • Donor biographical information.
  • Organization of campaigns, funds and appeals.
  • Reporting out of fundraising activities.
  • We have consolidated 4 different organization's databases into RE.
  • Having all facilities reporting off a single database means we are all looking at the same information.
Most of the analytics we get is through Research Point. Very valuable data that we deploy every day. We're not guessing about potential; we have analytics to back up who we need to prioritize in today's plan of contacts.
  • Online Training
The preference among staff is person-to-person training, and those opportunities seem to be going away.

We provide reports for our gift officers. The reports can easily be emailed to gift officers. This is a very easy way to get information into their hands without them having to know much or do much within the software. From a technical perspective, the reports in NXT are elementary compared to the reporting functionality in the database view.
