Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches

Our company uses Cisco Catalyst 9200 switches as access layer switches in favour of the older 2960X units. They are dependable and effective machines that support all access layer characteristics. Since they are included into the Cisco DNA Center platform, we also gain from their interoperability with the DNA solution. With the use of these switches, we are able to physically link end users and various equipment, including wireless access points, end-user PCs, and printers. While enabling us to manage that access by using techniques like DHCP snooping and storm-control.

In the network, we automate a lot of different processes. We gain significant advantages from automation in the field of access layer switching, which these switches are a component of. You must automate since there are hundreds of switches in the network that might need a modification; otherwise, you'll have to do an absurd amount of human labour. We don't virtualization which is potentially a helpful feature.
Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches improve services through integration and automation. This gives administrators more remote and local management. Access to native features embedded in the switch GUI meets all basic management and monitoring needs. Integration with API functions provides advanced customization capabilities such as scripting automated tasks. By adding applications or containers to the Cisco Catalyst 9200 DNA Software, Cisco has opened the door to custom options for managing these switches in the way enterprises require. In other words, managers can customize and control them in any way they see fit to get the results they want.

Did Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches again?

Yes

Due to the lack of capability for routing capacity, they are best suited for user connectivity rather than being employed as infrastructure middle switches or provider edges. In this circumstance, we often employ them at the user edge despite the fact that they have limited bandwidth capability. They would not be appropriate in a backbone layer or WAN layer situation, in my opinion, since there are other series that are more pertinent.
