Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense

The product is used across the entire organization. It provides a robust platform available on a global basis using Cloud technology for access. It eliminates the need for in-house solutions and is reliable. We also use the mobile app available by the vendor for travel related functionality and expenses.

  • Would like the opportunity to define a trip without actually booking a flight, hotel, or car rental (missing functionality).
  • The internet application for laptops is more robust than the mobile app. Does not crash.

TimeCamp is very good for project tracking which we really don't need since we use Planview for that functionality. TimeCamp cannot handle the breath of the needs of a larger company like Concur does. Concur does the basics VERY WELL and for project/client tracking we found that other software specialized in those areas suits our needs better.
We have integrated the software with our Oracle E-Business Suite software. We are able to upload the expense reports data after expenses have been approved and can assign the expenses to the proper organizational units of our company. We have written in-house custom software to handle this functionality.
The ability to photograph the receipts directly on cell phones using the mobile application eliminates the need to have another piece of software to capture the receipt images. By doing so, automatic integration of the receipts is accomplished on the fly. This enabled us to go completely paperless and increase our green footprint which is one of our company's core values.
We have definitely reduced the number of people involved with the time and expense reporting functions. Most of the effort is accomplished by employees without requiring additional personnel. We are a global company and many do a great deal of travel for sales and projects. Our employees have embraced the application, thus reducing emails and phone calls.
It is well suited for global companies with a large number of employees. The expense assistant in the mobile app allows the reports to be built on the fly and is easier to use than the internet version of the software. The ability to photograph receipts using the mobile app saves time and removes the worry of losing paper receipts. The historical record of past trips is a great way to keep track of stays in places where return trips are necessary,
