Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
We use ConnectWise Control to remotely administer security monitor displays for a variety of our professional large-scale video surveillance system installations. In addition, our in-house helpdesk uses Control to provide support to our end users.
Pros
- Easy to sort remote clients
- Display of system statistics and uptime
- Works through a variety of firewalls easily
Cons
- When remotely administering a video surveillance monitor, Control has a very difficult time emulating the on-screen live video, in comparison to competitive products that are available.
- Some of the administrative tasks relating to Control were not given enough thought on a GUI or simplistic operation side of things.
- Fast connection time.
- Ease of use when being able to provide clients with a support code for remote access to their workstation for helpdesk operations.
We chose Connectwise Control more on an evaluation basis to see how it will perform up against the competition. It is great on some fronts, however, lacking on others. We are not 100% settled on Control for long-term use.
