Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We use Deputy for rostering our administrative and nursing staff, and specialists.
  • Rostering.
  • Being able to sync it to our mobiles so we can see the roster at any time.
  • Communicating well
  • The specialists don't actually use Deputy and I am paying for them to use it as I need my other staff to see where they are.
  • We don't use it for anything other than rostering staff.
Deputy is Australia based which helps if there are any issues

As I stated previously there are 4 specialists that do not use Deputy but I have to pay for them for my admin staff to be able to view where they are.
No I have no insights into the implementation of Deputy
It is suited to small practices that just want a simple rostering service. It would be good if it connected to MYOB Essentials for payroll.

Using Deputy

7 - Reception, and Practice Manager, Nursing Staff
7 - As previously stated we have admin staff, nursing staff using and supporting Deputy
  • clocking on and off
  • monitoring other staff whereabouts
  • seeing where the surgeons are working
  • who is on leave
  • hours worked
  • We have not used it to the full capacity it can be used
  • Possibly to do payroll if it was compatible with MYOB
I have rated it as 10 as it is the most user friendly program we have found for the use we need it for.

Evaluating Deputy and Competitors

Yes - We have used Sling, as this was an American run product we preferred to use Australian based product.

I wouldn't change my evaluation and selection process

Deputy Implementation

Change management was a minor issue with the implementation - I had an in service where I introduced Deputy to staff and helped them load the program onto their phones. It was very easy to set up
  • staff not having current iphones to accept the program

Slow Initial Response
Yes I did purchase premium support, even though I do not use all the features, which ever other level I purchased I could not get all that I wanted in it.
When I had problems with loading a new employee on they persevered until I understood what I was doing.
There are the odd occasions where someone at Deputy has not understood my question and it takes a bit for them to know what it is I am asking.
