Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

Used for rostering, updates and timesheets. Eradicates double handling, easy and efficient to use

Pros

  • Moving shifts - loading templates
  • Approving timesheets
  • Calculates business costs, including providing weather updates helps with planning out the roster

Cons

  • Changes to shifts - text notifications can be confusing and messy
  • Visibility of staff pay rates should be hidden to other staff members including managers
  • Onboarding
  • Time saved planning roster, communication
  • Accuracy of costs
  • Easy to view individual staff hours and allocations
  • Staff time requests are planned well in advanced and noted in one place

There is a lot of room for improvement. Would be great if desktop functionalities are eventually accessible on mobile too eg. approving timesheets - rounding to the nearest hour. Text notifications could be neater and clearer. Overall happy with how much time has been saved and easy for staff to swap shifts
Easy to use from the start with substantial videos on how to implement
Text notifications are sent however do not have details about which shift has changed. My staff need to compare against the previous text which can be somewhat confusing and messy especially if it is a small change eg to come in/ stay back one hour earlier/later
