Overall Satisfaction with Dialpad Talk
Dialpad Talk has begun rolling out to our entire organization to get away from the "physical phone." As a manager, I have been one of the first to use this system within our company. This service will allow more flexibility for the members of the organization and enable them to operate more efficiently when they are working remotely or simply running in and out of the office. This type of service is more of a must than an option with the current state of how businesses are operating.
Pros
- Ability to visually record conversations to assist in note taking.
- Provides a direct line to each user without needing to access team members through an extension
- Has a messaging function which allows the user to send and receive SMS messages. I use this for quick notes or confirm why I was calling or to disregard the call.
Cons
- Occasionally I feel there is a delay from when I click "Answer" to when I can actually begin speaking and be heard.
- Having better headphone integration. I currently cannot answer the call directly from my bluetooth headset and have to click "answer" on the screen. I believe this works from the app on my phone but not the desktop.
- Speaker settings do not always default back to the correct choice.
- Flexibility of having your office phone wherever you are.
- Visual dictation for meeting/calls with clients.
- Ability to see if co-workers are on the phone or a meeting through Highfive.
- Ability to have employees work from home which allows us to keep a smaller office environment.
- Efficiency increased with integrating calls / meetings in one app.
- Previously had to restrict employees to primarily work in the office or forward items to their home or mobile phones. This allows them to have the same tools in or out of the office which reduces issues when being contacted by clients.
Similar but different system. Microsoft Teams is more of the messaging first, calls second. In my experience, did not have the same capabilities when dealing with voice calls.
