Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
In regards to music, we upload masters, stems, alternate mixes, etc. so that they are all in a safe, easily accessible place. This is great for file management with music supervisors, producers, editors, etc. We also use it to share promotional videos, pictures, etc. It is also a great spot to share sessions.
- Provides a homebase where we can keep our files
- It's visually appealing and easy to track items
- It's nice to be able to share files with people who don't have Dropbox accounts
- Sometimes (often-times) it's slow when using it on the web
- It often won't allow us to change the title of a file. For instance, someone may forget to capitalize a letter, and if we try to change it, Dropbox will not allow us to do so since it's the same title
- We often accidentally move a folder and try to undo, but the undo function does not always work
- It does not display images in MP3 or AIF files
- It is not usually a direct impact, but it is certainly positive. It helps us stand out in opportunities, and displays a level of professionalism that is well-received by partners.

They do different services. Please don't be offended, but DISCO is much more convenient for our purposes (searching, containing visuals, bulk edits, link-tracking, etc.). But we still find tremendous value in Dropbox and use it pretty much daily in tandem with DISCO.
