Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using inSync to backup out of lab workstations which are Windows, Mac, and Android systems.

Pros and Cons

Pros

It supports all the platforms including mobile devices and workstations
Easy to set up and highly secure stored data
Data is stored in AWS cloud so it is easily scalable and easily restorable

Cons

Browsing the schedule of the plan is complicated, it can be simplified.
Reporting can be simplified and extended to more than 30 days as this might be required for auditing purposes.
No option to remote troubleshooting, we have to access the system to troubleshoot.

Return on Investment

Capital expenditure and operation expenditure came down.
Manual management of devices and end-user data is not required as it is AD integrated.
We have clear visibility of the users and associated devices.

We have used Veeam Agent for Windows, Linux. Also, Evault and Carbonite Endpoint. Managing and configuring the systems and end-user data here is difficult as it does not support cloud data like O365, Box, etc. Also, it does not support Android and iOS.

Implementation Rating

As Druva providing the training videos for free we can learn how to set up the Druva inSync easily. It is very easy and simple to set up the backup.

InSync is well suited if you want to backup your employee's laptops or desktops and their mobile devices including tablet computers and any end-user data. This also helps to take the backup of cloud applications like Google Drive, Box, or a cloud mailbox like O365. It is not suitable if you are looking to back up the virtual or hypervisor this will not support.

Druva is the only tool has vast options to protect all kind of end user data. InSync setup is not only easy to set which also manage. Cost effective as compared to other data protection applications. as they are already in AWS cloud it is not burning our pocket incase of increase in data size or device size. Best support from the technical team

Products Replaced

Yes - We replaced Veeam Backup and Replication and Barracuda. They are not simple and cost-effective as Druva.

It is very important to have multiple features in the application which avoids going for different product for different data. Druva will eliminate having multiple products. previously we are using veeam and barracuda for physical systems and we are not protecting mobile data or cloud application data like o365. now we do not worry about this
