Overall Satisfaction with Figma

We use Figma for our UI/UX team to create front end designs for various applications that we build and support and hand those over to our dev team for implementations. Our design team will also create clickable prototypes that can be presented to the business to showcase what we are working on and get feedback.
  • Easy hand off between design team and dev
  • They are always improving the platform
  • It is easy to use when actually creating designs
  • It's collaboration tools are very clunky
  • Navigating within the platform and managing projects is cumbersome
  • Difficult for our business users to just open files and start viewing them and asking questions
  • Can't use my mouse to scroll to zoom in
  • Makes it quicker to take things from design to dev and be pixel perfect reducing the dev, qa, and design back and forth and letting us bring things to production radpidly.
  • With access to dev mode we allow some of our business users to write up the exact text they want to appear on pages/screens in the design which means less time spent back and forth on approvals.
  • Its collaboration and visualization tool chunkiness and lack of features necessitates us using another platform.
InVision was much better when it came to building and interacting with prototypes while Miro and Mural are much better visualization and collaboration tools. But from a pure design and development perspective Figma has been the best I have used and the one preferred by all developers and designers I have worked with.

Do you think Figma delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Figma's feature set?

No

Did Figma live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Figma go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Figma again?

Yes

If the person asking was a developer or someone from UI/UX who needs a tool to support their roles in the software development lifecycle, I would recommend Figma without a doubt. If someone is looking for a design collaboration tool to bring in business stakeholders to the software development lifecycle, or even as a collaboration or modeling tool to be used by just the business, I would tell them to look elsewhere.
