Overall Satisfaction with GoGuardian Teacher

With 1:1 Chromebook implementation in an inner-city middle school, it was vital for us to have a program to monitor the usage by students. We are able to create boundaries for web browsing that allows our students to use online tools in a safe environment. Our students understand that we want them to freely use their device in school appropriate ways, but that we are able to monitor where they are and block inappropriate sites for our setting.

I have used Hapara in a previous school district. GoGuardian is more user-friendly and easier to setup. I do think GoGuardian has some room on improving the ease of finding some areas of the program, but once you know the path to get there it is quick.
They have been great to work with while piloting and implementing the program. They are quick to answer our faculty's questions and provide solutions to the problems. They are also open to feedback and suggestions concerning the program to help improve the platform. Our teachers have felt at ease with the implementation and are happy with the progress.

GoGuardian has decreased incidents of students misusing their computers during class just by them knowing we have the capability of monitoring them. On most days my colleagues and I don't even have to open the program for our students to be modeling correct behavior. It allows us to see problems in real-time to be able to address them then, rather than after the fact.
