Overall Satisfaction with Google Hangouts

Google Hangouts is used across multiple departments to communicate with those that wish to have their phone numbers kept private due to security purposes and only requires an email. As mentioned, the app helps address problems by having multiple departments across the city communicate with each other.
  • No need for a phone number to communicate with members of the organization
  • User-friendly on contacting friends, coworkers, and family through means of calling or messaging.
  • Works well along with other Google app products! Like, Google Voice for example.
  • When the app is open and loaded, I'd prefer if the app could open to the most recent message received.
  • Sometimes difficult to sync contacts into google hangouts.
  • A feature I would personally like to see added is the use of sending voice messages rather than calling or having to type out a message.
  • Hangouts has helped the departments converse about ongoing problems and having them addressed instantly. Hangouts has helped the departments bring attention to problems more effectively.
  • A lot of people in the departments don't like to give out their phone number for good reasons in this profession. Hangouts helps those individuals to communicate along with the rest of the colleagues.
  • The app makes work very time efficient with how well it integrates along with other apps rather than juggling back and forth.
Overall Google stacks up well when it comes to the other products. Google Hangouts was selected only because other coworkers suggested it and everyone used it as an effective means to communicate and keep all contact done in a professional setting while keeping personal information private. Hangouts integrates itself very effectively along with other utility apps whereas the others don't.
When in need to communicate with fellow colleagues instantly about problems that need to be addressed, Hangouts works well. Especially in the departments where some colleagues like to keep their phone numbers private. Some scenarios where it is less appropriate is if a voice message needed to be sent. If I have something too long to type out and the colleague can't be reached, it would be more effective to just be able to send an audio message.

Evaluating Google Hangouts and Competitors

  • Product Features
The diverse amount of features that Google can provide with this app makes it a top contender. The ability to communicate as a group without the need for a phone number is important to us at our workplace. There needs to be some privacy outside of the workforce and Google helps fulfill that role.
I would have more experience and look into more what was needed that I did not expect back then.

Google Hangouts Support

I would give it a higher rating but there are a few features that I would love for Google to introduce into their Hangouts.
ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Knowledgeable team
Problems get solved
Kept well informed

Immediate help available
Support understands my problem
Support cares about my success
Quick Initial Response
None
Yes - The amount needed to pay for premium support is usually just a couple of dollars. The amount you put into a product is what you are likely to get out of a product.
There was never a time that Google was exceptional with their support due to that I never needed Google's support. The product never really had any issues with me. I only request that Google introduces some features that would make this a more versatile app. There have been some random problems with adding on contacts but never an issue to report about.
