Overall Satisfaction with IBM Process Mining
In my experience, IBM Process Mining adds value to processes from the first click. It is very intuitive and easy to use. Dimensions of the process that would otherwise remain hidden can be analyzed. To give an example, thanks to IBM Process Mining, we improve international transfer processes. Our Foreign Trade Operations department receives requests to send money abroad and analyzes compliance with documentation requirements and reasonableness of operations. The regulatory pressure of the last 2 years created new manual tasks and controls and process changes that affected the operations production line. It ultimately impacted our level of service. With IBM Process Mining, we could immediately detect which tasks required priority improvements. We also understood the behavior of the demand and the impact it had on the team. By focusing on improvement opportunities, we were more efficient in implementing solutions. Finally, with IBM Process Mining we were able to measure how much the process improved after the implemented changes.
- Summarize relevant information
- Show workflow and bottlenecks
- Get immediate results without creating source code
- Some indicators require some explanation to be understood
- It would help to have a relational data model to avoid enriching the input file outside the application
- We made a significant improvement in meeting our service level agreement
- We shorten the time of survey and analysis of the process by 90%
- We discovered the changes we needed to improve our productivity by 25%
Celonis allows input information to be worked within the tool, while IBM Process Mining does not.
In the rest of the functionalities that we evaluated, Celonis and IBM have similar characteristics. However, Celonis license cost is ten times higher.
Unlike UI Path, we find that IBM Process Mining allows you to test the product online at zero cost. This was a very important factor in being able to buy capabilities quickly. UI Path only allowed us to see the features with presentations or videos, without the possibility of experimenting for ourselves.
Compared with ARIS Process Mining, IBM provides more information, indicators, and analysis tools. Finally, IBM has a team of professionals who know the local market and speak the same language. They accompanied us throughout the process of choosing the product, providing everything we needed to quickly take advantage of the tool.
