Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

Used exclusively as our business CRM. We use it to retain key data points about our clients and prospects. Additionally, we use it to record a history of completed tasks, actions and communication (primarily email).
  • Custom data fields
  • Oversight of business operation
  • Advanced yet simple reporting and filtering
  • In my opinion, CRM innovation has been near non-existing for many years, preferring to spend their efforts in other business lines such as a marketing platform
  • Two-factor authentication only available at the entreprise level. Enough of a reason on its own to seek alternatives.
  • Some localisation issues for non-US users.
  • A significantly lower cost alternative to the big CRM players. Relevant for small business.
  • Tighter control of business data, better oversight.
A solid CRM covering most of the needs of a small business.

In my experience, the recent lack of platform development has seen it become less and less feature rich in comparison to other business tools we use. As a result we have slowly stripped its uses back to the core competancies.
We recently stripped out workflow management from Insightly as we have found better tools in this area. Now primarily used for record keeping and simple data managemement.
