Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
We are using KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training across our entire organization to help reduce time and money spent analyzing suspicious emails and responding to user-submitted email. It also helps us cut down on explaining to our users the different types of malicious emails to keep on the look for.
Pros
- Makes it easy to understand phishing messages
- Helps users identify emails that are legitimate
- Saves IT time with user email requests
Cons
- More types of lessons
- Easier user interface (for less tech-savvy users)
- More advanced phishing campaigns
- Saved us time and money on support
- Saving our users time when we have to check their machine for issues after clicking a phishing email
- Helping educate our users on email issues
There is not much comparison between these products. KnowBe4 stands head and shoulders above Symantec. The training is thorough and complete on KnowBe4. They keep up to date with the latest trends and keep users educated about emerging trends in malicious email types. They also keep administrators up to date on trends as well.

The impact of fresh training content on our users has been tremendous. It keeps them from getting complacent or forgetting about the previous training. Also, the different content publishers have been useful and are very smart. This keeps a large range of topics easily available to our users and administrators.
We have started by importing a list of our users and having them all log in the first time to create their passwords. Occasionally they will forget and have to reset their passwords and it has been mostly seamless. One issue seems to be our users using their network emails as logins. They tend to try their normal network passwords first and call us if they forget.
The metrics we find most important are being able to see specifically what our problem users are and how they're doing on training. This makes it easy for each department manager to work with them and get them trained. This will have the overall effect of keeping the company network safe and users informed.
