Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
I use Kofax as my primary PDF viewer and editor because it has all the features I need and is cheaper than Adobe. I use it to convert Word docs for my business to PDF and to create flyers. It allows me to edit existing PDFs and create forms with fillable fields which I use in my business for my website.
Pros
- Creating forms with fillable fields is easy and very customizable.
- Editing existing PDFs is easy.
- Converting Word docs to PDF is easy.
- Integration with MS Office to create PDFs is easy.
Cons
- I cannot find a away to split multiple tabs in the same UI. To view multiple docs simultaneously, you have to have to instances running.
- Cost savings. No annual fee like Adobe.
- Time savings. Creating and editing forms is easy and takes less time.
The tools are pretty intuitive. Although, I have to use the search feature sometimes to find what I am looking for. But for most actions, they are well defined and in a layout that will be similar to MS Office users. Overall, I have found it very easy to use for what I need in my business.
Kofax is way better because they do not charge you an annual fee. It does everything that Adobe does but easier and is more intuitive. Having use Kofax, I have actually uninstalled all Adobe products from my PC and strictly use Kofax. I have recommended Kofax to several colleagues over Adobe as well.

Would you buy Tungsten Power PDF again?
Yes
I use the ability to create fillable forms, combining and splitting documents, editing existing PDFs, converting to and from different file types and integration with Microsoft Office. I use the conversion from PowerPoint quite often for creating certificates. There are several other features that I have yet to try but I am sure they will be just as useful as the ones I have used.
