Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready)
River Valley Resources, Inc uses Kronos Workforce Ready accross the entire agency. We have employees in many locations throught Regions 9 and 10. We use this for time keeping, payroll and paid leave purposes.
- Customer Service is amazing! If I run into an issue that I don't quite know how to address, I reach out to Support my creating a case in the Kronos system. We usually have resolution within the hour.
- The Workforce Ready system is user friendly and easy to explain to new employees during their orientations.
- We use many different funding sources. The system is able to allow time charging to all funding sources through the Cost Center Setup.
- Pulling out reports by funding stream.
- Removing of codes that have not been used after a duration of time.
We can't seem to get our PTO accruals to coordinate with when our organization releases the hours to our employees. Other than that Kronos is a blessing.
We have to do a lot of reports as we are a non-profit who receives state, federal, and grant funds to operate our programs. Kronos makes it so easy to pull out the information that we need to make up these reports.
Every time something with payroll changes you can find a plethora of information in Kronos Community. I have also done many webinars, which are actually interesting. The resource guides are phenomenal.
I feel that we have great support from UKG. The only issue is that we used to have 1 go to person and now it seems as though if we need help and submit a case the case goes to whomever.

2 - The Controller/HR Manager and HR Assistant support employees with all things payroll. Our Controller/HR Manager has been in the business for over 30 years so she has tons of experience. I am the HR Assistant and before I started assisting with payroll in 2016 I had no experience. The training that I received from what was then APS was wonderful.
- Benefit tracking for employees. I don't think that they realized how much the organization alots as benefits in was other payments.
Training employees to use a new platform can be very difficult. At this time we are pleased with the services that we receive. I must admit that the new look is taking longer to get used to for many of our employees. The continued changing of a "go to" person for assistance could be better.

The organization was using APS, which became Kronos, which became UKG when I was hired on and asked to assume some of the payroll responsibility.
If I had to do it over again I would be a part of the evaluation and selection process. I would concentrate on how friendly will the platform be for our older generation of employees to use as that is where we seem to have most of out struggles. I would also want to see some type of user training not just for payroll administrators but for all employees.

Our "go to" person at the time was named Michelle Buchanan. I was having difficulty setting up an employees taxes who lived in one state but worked in another. It was becomming very frustrating and it didn't help that I was new to payroll processing. Michelle was, number one, very patient with me. She kept me calm and walkeed me through the necessary steps. I really appreciate all of the assistance she provided to me.
