Overall Satisfaction with LinkedIn Learning (Lynda.com)
LinkedIn Learning was available to individuals to further develop their skills in UX design. It was never required, however, it was available as an option along with several other resources including books. Most of us were newer to UX design at the time, so Lynda was a great resource to really help level up our skills through quality courses.
- LinkedIn Learning offers several courses covering a wide range of topics.
- The courses are engaging and enjoyable.
- The pricing model isn't very good for individuals wanting to take just one course.
- LinkedIn Learning has helped "level up" individuals in their skill sets, thus providing great expertise and value in their work.
- LinkedIn Learning, just like all learning platforms, requires an initial investment of time and effort. If an employee isn't staying long term, then the cost of both the subscription and the time spent on it could ultimately not pay off for the company.
Coursea offers more credible certifications, while Udemy offers individual courses that don't require a monthly subscription. Ultimately, all 3 platforms provide quality content and a wide range of courses. However, some may specialize in different areas than others. My ultimate decision though would come down to pricing models. If you want unlimited access to several courses, then LinkedIn Learning is a great option. However, if you're just wanting to take a single course, then Udemy or Coursera may be better.
